Buddhist Ruins of
Takht-i-Bahi and Taxila
World famous Fasting Buddha Statue: There are 2 ruins in Pakistan which are
collection of Lahore Museum, Pakistan related to Buddhism:
Year of Inscription: 1980 (1) Takht-i-Bahi.
The complex of Takht-i-Bahi is viewed
by archaeologists as particularly
important, as it is a prime example of
the Buddhist monasteries that existed
around 1st century BC. The site
comprises of four predominant
sections, including the Court of Stupas
and a tantric monastic complex.
(2) Taxila.
In the 7th century, Xuanzang in his
journey to the West visited Taxila. Now
it is an archaeological site in Punjab
