                        The Golden Temple of Dambulla is the largest and


                        best preserved cave temple complex of Sri Lanka.

                        In this cave monastery, there are Buddhist mural


                        paintings covering an area of 2100 m2 which are


                        of particular importance, as well as 157 statues.
