Mount Wutai, also known by its Chinese name Hongchunping Temple
Wutaishan, is a sacred Buddhist site at the (中国 China: 1984)
headwaters of the Qingshui in Shanxi Province,
China. Mount Wutai is one of the Four Sacred
Mountains in Chinese Buddhism. Wutai is the
home of Manjusri, Bodhisattva of wisdom. The
sacred mountain hosts over 53 monasteries and
is home to many of China’s most important
monasteries and temples.
