Page 27 - Suffering
P. 27
Wanting reality to be something that is not?
This is a big delusion.
Everytime we demand that our reality is different from what
it is; we suffer because of the desire that it is different. We
resist and cannot accept what is in front of us and we suffer.
Only by accepting what it is in reality can we take action
to change. Our desire is just a mind state, an illusional
perspective of reality.
Stay with the one who knows [ourself]?
Lao Tzu said, “He who knows others is wise. He who knows
himself is enlightened.” When we base your senses of self
on what others say about us, we will never realize our true
nature. When we buy into others story of who we should be
and how we should live, we are living a life of another which
is not ours and that causes us stress and possibly illness.
Only by staying true to ourself can we be happy.
Living separate life within us?
A life in which our mental thoughts and physical actions or
words contradict truths we hold dear inwardly”.
If the way we lead our life is not in accordance or in
agreement with what we think and believe in, we will suffer.
This divided life will eventually catch up with us and we’ll
find ourself looking in the mirror and no longer recognising
the face that stares back at us.
Living life from the outside in?
If you spend no time in reflection or contemplation within
our mind, we will never find our reality purpose of life.
We’ll will end up comparing ourself to others and always
criticising ourself for not being “satisfied”.
