Basic IPM Plan Requirements

Each vessel is required to have an IPM plan that:

1) Has effective monitoring

➢ Active monitoring

➢ Passive monitoring

2) Includes documentation of:

➢ Results of active/passive monitoring

➢ Application of pesticides
➢ Follow-up and findings/reapplication

➢ Safety for passengers and crew

3) Provides for periodic review
➢ Plan must be evaluated periodically to ensure effectiveness

➢ Plan may need to be changed or modified, especially if the plan fails and pests

cannot be controlled
➢ Vessel is changed
