Maintenance
➢ Food premises and equipment that are not
properly maintained pose a significant risk of
contaminating food, especially through physical
means.
➢ Neglecting maintenance can also lead to the
entry of other sources of contamination,
including microbiological and chemical hazards,
which can harm consumers' health and safety.
➢ Therefore, it is crucial to have effective
measures in place to control poor maintenance
and minimize the risks of such hazards causing
illness to consumers.
