Enzymes
● The living cell is made up of different organic molecules forming what is known by
biological system.
● In which a lot of biological reactions takes place. e.g., complex molecules are built
up from simpler and smaller molecules and these complex molecules break down
to simple ones (metabolic reactions).
● The metabolic reactions are facilitated and rapidly occur at room temp. and at
atmospheric pressure under the catalytic effect of organic protein compounds known as
enzymes.
● Enzymes are produced by the protoplasm.
