o Enzymes catalyze the reaction in both directions.
o e.g.
(4) Sensitivity
o Due to the protein nature of enzymes, they are sensitive to:
(A) Temperature

▪ Up to 40 C → their activity potentiated
o
▪ At 50 C → they become inactive
o
▪ At 60-70 C → they are destroyed
▪ Cooling → inactivates enzymes but this effect is reversible
