-one surface only (dorsiventral leaves) abutting the upper epidermis surface

-abutting both surfaces (isobilateral leaves)
2-Vascular bundle:- may surrounded by batch of bundle sheath which may be ( parenchyma or fibers of pericycle )
They are formed of xylem strands towards upper surface surrounded by phloem towards
the lower surface & Protoxylem is directed towards the upper surface.
