ZF 370 V Marine Gearbox
The vessel is fitted with two marine ZF 370 V gearboxes, ratio 2.248 – 1, driven by each engine.
These are connected to the engines with carden shafts, with the output flange of the gearbox
connected to the propeller shaft. Refer to user manuals kept on the vessel.
3.5. PROPELLERS,
RUDDERSAND PROPELLER SHAFTING
The counter-rotating 5-blade high strength aluminium-bronze MRKPIOLT propellers are manu-
factured by CJR, a company based in the UK. They propeller specification is 27.5” x 36.75”.
The rudders are of the CJR type, refer to rudder drawings for more info.
The propeller shafts are CJR Marinemet 25” stainless steel shafts with a 60 mm diameter. See
propeller shaft drawing for more info.
3.6. FUEL SYSTEM
Fuel system diagram
The fuel system consists of two fuel tanks, one on the port side and one on the starboard side.
They are located in front of the engines in the tanks space. Each fuel tank holds 1 000 litres of
usable diesel.
