SKIN DISEASES
Clinical picture:
Presence of non-pruritic café au lait macule covered by fine branny
scales located especially on the neck, arms, chest, trunk and shoulders. The
color of the lesion varies according to the normal skin of the patient.
T. versicolor is chronic, mild usually asymptomatic infection with
or without therapy the lesion persists, spread, disappears and
reappear or become continuous and chronic.
Treatment:
1. Keratolytic agents such as: Whitfield ointment, or salicylic acid,
mild fungicidal.
2. Minconazol is an excellent treatment.
3. Iodine salicylic 2%.
4. Tinea cure ( Tolnaftate) or Daktarin solution or ointment may be
used.
5. Oral ketoconazole can also be used
