B. OSHA USA to global OSHA
OSHA outreach authorized trainers located outside the United States
allowed to only offer the OSHA International
C. OSHA was established to:
1. Reduce work place hazards and implement new or improved
methods for work place safety and health
2. Provide research data
3. Maintain a recordkeeping and reporting system to monitor job
related injuries and illnesses
4. Establish training programs to increase the number and
competence of the occupational and safety personnel
5. Establish separate but dependent responsibilities and rights for
employers and employees
6. Develop mandatory job safety and health standards
7. Provide for development, analysis, evaluation and approval of
safety programs.
D. Employees rights under OSHA:
1. A safe and healthy working environment
2. Know about hazardous chemicals
3. Information about injury or illness
4. Request hazard correction from the employer
5. Proper training
6. Hazard exposure and medical records
7. Be free from retaliation for exercising safety or health rights
