HEALTH SYSTEM IN EGYPT
EGYPT HEALTH SYSTEM STRUCTURE
The Egyptian constitution stipulates that health care is a right for
every citizen without any constraints. Health care is a shared
responsibility of all organizations active in socio-economic development,
the community and the individual. The health system in Egypt is a
complicated one. The system is characterized by multiplicity of
organizations, multiplicity of sources of financial resources, multiplicity
of management structures, and multiplicity of types of service outlets.
The health system involves the 3 main sectors:
A. The governmental sector
B. Para-statal organizations
C. Non-governmental sector
