Like any divorce, the following period was like
hell for me. I can’t stay still; I always need to
focus on something, so I finally recharged my
batteries and decided to start my own blog.
Unexpectedly, it took off very quickly and it felt
good to be praised for my writing. After a few
months, I went through another tough period. I
left my job in a posh hotel and decided I was
going to take my life back, to finally include music
as a real job. This is why I applied to work for
Volcano Records & Promotion and got a fantastic
position as A&R, a real dream coming true.
2020 has been an unforgiving year for sure but I
managed to use the first lockdown months to get
an online specialization in Music Business at
Berklee College Of Music (I already had a
Bachelor’s Degree in Communication), then one
day, while practising with my bass I had this idea
of how weird it would be to mix bass playing with
burlesque. I’ve been passionate about burlesque
for years, but never got the idea to actually
perform. My background as a ballerina would
have helped, as well as my experience on stage as
a musician, and this time my measurements
would have fit perfectly! (36’’ - 24’’ - 36’’).
So, I dived into this new adventure, got so many
incredibly amazing feedbacks and I realized I
might have put out there a new format,
something that hasn’t been done before.
I’m working on the second episode of Bass &
Burlesque as we speak, which will be featured in
the iconic Best Of Burlesque Festival 2021. This
project will surely keep going on and I can’t wait
to see what it will come out of it. As for the rest? I
am starting a new band from scratch and I’m
planning to write a book in the next couple of
years. That’s right, I don’t really know what the
word “boring” means.
