I come from an over 700-year-old farming
dynasty nestled in the wonderful hills of
Tuscany. My ancestors might call me a
“black sheep” but I’ve already cracked
many family traditions by choosing a more
humanistic path to pursue.
I’ve never actually been like other kids,
when I was 3 years old my mother was
practically forced to teach me how to read
because I would carry magazines around
the house and throwing them on the floor
because the fact that I didn’t know what
those words meant drove me mad. I
wanted to be a grown-up even if I was just
a child. When I looked at those pictures of
classy ladies in those magazines, I
remember thinking “I can’t wait to grow
up, to wear high heels and red lipstick”.
