Your soulful vocals beautifully convey
emotion throughout the album. Was there a
particular song that was most challenging
or emotionally cathartic to record?

Wings was very emotionally cathartic for
me. I remember exactly where I was when I
wrote this song. Additionally, when I came
into the studio and sang it for my
producers, I vividly remembered their
emotions on their faces. It is a freedom
song. Jumping into the wide unknown and
learning to fly.

You mentioned being inspired by artists
like Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire.
How have their musical styles and
legacies influenced your own sound?

They have pioneered their careers and
been fearless women all at the same
time. I have admired them since I was a
little girl, and their music is part of my
soul and the roots I created a long time
ago when it came to creating my own
sound.
