The four letters that make up the word “H.O.P.E.” are actually the four
wheels on which the world runs! It is the quantum of energy that gears
us up to carry out our tasks even when the situation seems unpromising.
It is about believing that we will be strengthened to overcome the
obstacles with the help of the living spirit.

As Christians, we have always been taught to completely hope in the
Living God – because He is the one who provides us with everything. In
certain testing times – it may all seem out of control and as if nothing is
going to be right – but that is when our faith is being tested; that is
when we need to be stronger in spite of all the tribulations. Patience
goes hand in hand with hope; the more patient we are – the more
hopeful our soul would be! When we unnecessarily think that things are
going to worsen – that is when we find it difficult to be hopeful and
optimistic. That is the time when the Holy Word comes to our rescue,
which very affirmingly says that God knows the plans He has for us –
plans to prosper and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a
future – it is God's promise which never goes unfulfilled. For God’s
plans are far better than what we might have even thought of – but
until it comes to fruition, we require a profound faith and that may not
be so easy at first. Prayer along with daily meditation of the Word of
God shall surely provide us with the spiritual assurance and confidence
to look ahead and move forward.

Sadhu Sundar Singh had once beautifully described the synonymity
between birth and death. A baby within the mother’s womb assumes to
be in a perfectly safe place and is thus hesitant to set foot into an all-new
world where everything seems unfamiliar and not so good – totally
oblivious to the fact that the world is a much better place than what he is
presently in! Similarly, after death, we will be introduced into a pristine
spiritual world that shall make us feel vulnerable now, as we are not
ready to leave the current comfort zone that we are in. Just like the baby
in the womb – we too are unaware of the state of glory that awaits us in
the highest heavens. But above all things, we now know and believe that
God only does what is the best for us because we are His children and He
          loves us unconditionally.

So, let us always hope for the best trust in the divine intentions; fulfilling
the purposes for what we have been sent on this planet – so that
without a tint of regret we may enter our eternal home where we may
forever sing praises in His loving fellowship!
          Praise be to God always!!!
          Amen!
