Chapter 1: Regulation

               Introduction
                   o  The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted specific rules to allow operation
                       of civil small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) in the national airspace system (NAS).
                       The rules are specified in Title 14 of the code of federal regulations (14 CFR) part 107,
                       small unmanned aircraft systems.
                   o  Part 107 addresses sUas classification, certification and operational limitations and
                       applies to the operation of sUAS’s within the NAS.

               Part A – FAA Regulations

               Section 1:  The description of a small unmanned aircraft (sUAS) is:
                   o  An aircraft that weighs less than 55 pounds (25kg) including anything that is on board or
                       attached to it.
                   o  An aircraft that is operated without direct human intervention form within or on the
                       aircraft.

               Section 2: FAA description and/or term for unmanned aircraft

               A sUAS includes the unnamed aircraft and all its associated elements required for safe operation
               such as communication links and components that control the aircraft.  The descriptions of an
               unmanned aircraft are as follows:f

                   o  An unmanned aircraft
                   o  A small unmanned aircraft
                   o  A UA, UAS and sUAS

               Section 3: sUAS not subject to 14 CFR Part 107, are as follows:

                   o  Model aircrafts
                   o  Amateur rockets
                   o  Moored ballons
                   o  Unmanned free balloons
                   o  Kites
                   o  Public aircraft operations
                   o  Air carrier operations
                   o  Operations conducted outside of the US

               Section 4:  A in-flight emergency
               This is an unexpected and unforeseen serious occurrences that requires urgent, prompt action,  In
               this occurs a remote pilot-in-command (PIC) is permitted to deviate from any rule of Part 107 to
               the extent necessary to respond.  If unexpected emergency does occur use the steps below:

                   o  Emergency action should be taken to minimize injury or damage to property.
                   o  If a remote PIC has to deploy a in-flight emergency process.  The unmanned aircraft pilot
                       is required by FAA regulation, to send a written report explaining the deviation to the
                       original flight plan.
