This course will prepare you to take the FAA Knowledge Test to earn your Remote Pilot
Certification with an sUAS rating.

NOTE: When a pilot certificate is issued it
shows your certification level. For example,
private pilot, commercial pilot, airline transport
pilot or remote pilot. In addition, it may also
show a category of aircraft such as airplane, and
rotorcraft, glider to a rating, e.g. an instrument

Section 1: Requirements when operating an unmanned aircraft:
o If you are a remote PIC of an sUAS in the National Airspace System (NAS) under Part
107. You must obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate with an sUAS rating issued by the FAA.
Prior to a sUAS operation. The remote pilot must carry their certification when operating
a unmanned aircraft. License and certifications must be easily accessible during operation
of a sUAS unmanned aircraft, at all times.

Section 2: After passing the FAA knowledge Test, next steps are as follows:

o You can apply for your remote pilot certificate online using IACRA application process.
