• Requiring surgery or a treatable injury, including but not limited
too:
o Head trauma
o Broken bones
o Lacerations (cuts or break in skin) to the skin that require
suturing.
NOTE: Any injury rated at a level 3 or higher on the abbreviated injury scale of the
associated of the advancement for the advancement of automotive medicine.
▪ Damage to property, other than the sUAS
• If the cost is greater than $500,000 to repair or replace the
property.
Section 3: Reporting an accident
o If you need to report an accident you can report the accident, using one of the options
below:
o Electronically – using FAA Drone Zone
o By phone to the FAA regional operations center at 844-373-
9922, or to the closest flight standards district office
(FSDO).
Section 4: The remote PIC will need the following to file a accident report:
o Your remote PIC
o Name
o Contact Information
o FAA Airmen Certification Number
o Aircraft Registration Number
o Accident Information
o Location
o Date and Time
o Person(s) involved and/or injured (if any)
o Property damage and extent of damage (if any)
o Description of what happened.
