                                    32Earlier in the year, the Science Museum opened a new gallery exploring the urgent energy transition needed to limit climate change %u2013 the Energy Revolution: The Adani Green Energy Gallery (below). The free gallery showcases how the world can generate and use energy more sustainably, highlighting technologies and projects from around the world. The museum has also continued their programme of Climate Talks %u2013 a series of panel discussions and events exploring the problems caused by climate change, all of which can be viewed online via their website.Photography has also shone the spotlight on nature, habitats and climate change with several exhibitions including Earth Photo (below) at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) highlighting the impact of climate change. Earlier this year, the Royal Parks unveiled the winners of its competition, Creating Spaces for Life, where visitors were invited to photograph new life emerging during spring. Wildlife Photographer of the Year at the Natural History Museum is back celebrating its sixtieth year with more captivating stories from nature. The breathtaking images capture the beauty and complexity of life, telling powerful tales of survival, fragility and the delicate balance of the natural world, and the impact of our actions. The exhibition is open until 29 June 2025.GREAT EXHIBITION ROAD FESTIVALExhibition Road came alive in June for another bumper year of the Great Exhibition Road Festival which celebrated how science and the arts help people, communities and nature to flourish. Over 50,000 people attended with over 1,950 going to one of the 12 talks. Visitors of all ages enjoyed live music, future food demos, space shows, science experiments, crafts, and more. The rich and diverse cultural offer was supplemented by exciting learning opportunities with over 30 schools participating and mind-bending talks from notable academics such as Professor Al-Khalili about how we experience time! Plans are underway for the next iteration which will take place 7%u20138 June 2025.TEAM LONDON AMBASSADORSOver the summer we worked with the Greater London Authority to host the Team London Ambassadors on Exhibition Road for three weeks during August. This year 129 volunteers helped welcome visitors to the area and share some of the amazing events and exhibitions happening in the area. Exhibition Road is always a popular location for the volunteers and as a thank you for their support we arrange complimentary access to some of brilliant exhibitions and tours in some of the cultural venues. We know that some of the volunteers live locally and we are very grateful for their time and commitment to making visitors feel welcome.WALKING IN SOUTH KENSINGTONWe have collaborated with Footways to create an interactive map of scenic walking routes to and around South Kensington to encourage visitors to explore the area on foot. The routes connect key locations such as tube stations, museums and shopping destination and includes points of interest connected to the history of the area.
