whether the interest involved are the same as
mentioned in the policy.
(b) The second step is registering the claim and allotting
claim number for future correspondence and easy
reference. The claim register contains the details
of the claim number, date of fire, the policy number,
the name of insured, the situation of risk when the
loss took place, the sum insured, estimate loss
amount and the name of surveyor deputed for
assessing the loss.
(c) The next step is the issuance of claim form to the
insured for returning after completion. The claim
form contains the following information :
(i) Name of the insured, policy number and address.
(ii) Date, time, cause and circumstances of the fire or
the occurrence of other insured peril.
(iii) Details of damaged property.
(iv) Sound value of the property at the time of loss. If
the insurance consists of several items, a declaration
