3. Move Around
Get your body moving as you would if you were extremely
motivated to do something. This ‘faking it’ approach to motivation may
seem silly or crude but it works.
4. Reduce the daily distractions.
When you have easily accessible distractions all around you then
it becomes hard to focus.
So shut the door to your office. Put your smartphone in silent mode at
the other end of your workspace or home.
5. Deconstruct Your Fears
I am sure you do not have a phobia about getting stuff done.
However, at the same time, hidden fears or anxieties can keep you from
getting real work completed.
Isolate the unknowns and make yourself confident, you can handle the
worst-case scenario.
6. Get motivation from the people in your life.
Spend less time with negative people who always look at the
dark or apathetic side of things.
Moreover, spend more of the time you have now freed up with
enthusiastic or motivated people and let their energy flow over to you.
7. Get a Partner
Find someone who will motivate you when you are feeling lazy.
I have a friend I go to the gym with. Besides spotting weight, having a
friend can help motivate you to work hard when you would normally
quit.
8. Play music that gives you energy.
One of the simplest things I do when I feel low in energy or
motivation is to play the music that is upbeat and/or inspires me in some
way.
