It’s important to note this listing only has a website that it links to and has no other citations or
signals built to it. The ranking results shown are 100% basic GMB optimization along with
keyword targeting in the name. This gave us a good understanding of the benefits of keywords in
the name, as well as the filtering mechanisms. But would it be more effective if the listing did
have citations and signals? If the signals were built using the brand name, then you updated the
GMB’s brand name to include a keyword would that trigger a spam filter or negative result?

In the week after the last report, geo modified keywords continued to improve.
