Assessment: Informal oral assessment of students by the

teacher. The teacher guides the discussion with the students by

giving them feedback with questions, instructions and advice.

                   2. Before starting the specific activity you should have talked to

the students about wind instruments, they should have known

them from their book (pp. 59,60,61, Ch. A different...) and have

listen to audio excerpts from your training material cd (cd 44,

45). Then hand out to the students photocopies of the card on

page 97 that shows a flute, a tuba and a trumpet. Have the

students listen to a short excerpt from Manuel de Falla's work

Magician of Love (cd 46) in which the trumpet dominates and

ask them to circle the musical instrument they heard. Optionally,

after the end of the activity you can proceed to the 1st activity

                   from the Workbook, p. 40.

Assessment: Standard written assessment of the students by the

                   notes on these observations.

                   3. Do the following activity after first talking to the students

about the percussion instruments of the band, getting to know

them from their book (p. 61, Ch. "A different...") and listening

to them from your educational material cd ( cd 47). Then ask the

students to remember the movement they make to play the

percussion instruments in their classroom. Have the students
