Assessment: Informal oral assessment of students by the
teacher. The teacher guides the discussion with the students by
giving them feedback with questions, instructions and advice.
2. Before starting the specific activity you should have talked to
the students about wind instruments, they should have known
them from their book (pp. 59,60,61, Ch. A different...) and have
listen to audio excerpts from your training material cd (cd 44,
45). Then hand out to the students photocopies of the card on
page 97 that shows a flute, a tuba and a trumpet. Have the
students listen to a short excerpt from Manuel de Falla's work
Magician of Love (cd 46) in which the trumpet dominates and
ask them to circle the musical instrument they heard. Optionally,
after the end of the activity you can proceed to the 1st activity
from the Workbook, p. 40.
Assessment: Standard written assessment of the students by the
teacher. The teacher observes the students' work and makes
notes on these observations.
3. Do the following activity after first talking to the students
about the percussion instruments of the band, getting to know
them from their book (p. 61, Ch. "A different...") and listening
to them from your educational material cd ( cd 47). Then ask the
students to remember the movement they make to play the
percussion instruments in their classroom. Have the students
