practice performing the above rhythmic pattern with percussion
instruments. Ask the second group to do a small parade
following the rhythm of the band made by the students of the
first group.
When the students are ready, proceed to reenact the parade.
Note: if the space is not sufficient for all students, you can carry
out the activity using groups of a few students each time.
Assessment: Informal oral assessment of students by the
teacher. The teacher observes the students giving instructions
and advice for the best performance of the activity.
Small instructions and tips
You can do the 2nd, 3rd and 4th activity from the Workbook on
pages 40 and 41 whenever you think is right, as long as the
students have gotten to know the band and the instruments that
participate in it.
For the 5th activity from the Workbook you will use CD 48.
