                 CV STRUTTINFORAKISS

After breaking his maiden earlier this season, CV Struttinforakiss was determined to
achieve his first stakes win and finally did so in the $124,300 Sterile Bertram Memorial on Oct. 11. Under jockey Edgar Diaz, the colt quickly recovered from a slow start and secured the lead in the stretch. The pair finished the 400 yards in a time of :19.999 and earned a speed index of 91.
The colt took home a winnings of $68,365 for owner Campos Family Ventures LLC and trainer Claudio Barraza, bringing his career earnings up to total $131,784. The colt has raced exclusively at Horseshoe Indianapolis and has placed in all six of his starts this season.
CV Struttinforakiss is Indiana bred by Mark Michel out of Struttin For Money. The colt is the dams leading money earning progeny and first stakes winner.
Early leader Sundays Best (Jess Zoomin-Sum Fun For Magic) and jockey Giovani Vazquez-Gomez were overtaken in the stretch and held on to second across the wire. The filly is bred and owned by Randy Thompson and trained by Jessica Vazquez. She placed third in the QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Derby on Sept. 2.
Finishing third was Sum Beach Sum Were (Habits Secret-Ms Fool Me Once) and jockey Martin Munoz. The filly is owned by Abraham Favela and trained by Ricardo Martinez.
Finishing the field were Seize Greatness
(Seize The Win-Crossing The Brazos), Runaway Beach Chic (Escondido Beach-Silly Chix), Habits Lil Teller (Habits Secret-Teller Sweet Nothins), Streakindownthebeach (Habits Secret-Beach Runner), Wheres Wilson (One Dashing Eagle-Whata Chilled Cat), Royal Sin (My Royal Wagon-Euro Blazin). Tachas Secret was scratched by her trainer.
HIGH ROLLING SEIZE

High Rolling Seize took home his first win of the season in the $84,100 Hoosier Park Classic at Horseshoe Indianapolis on Oct. 11. Under jockey
Shanley Jackson, the gelding held on close to the front of the field and pushed into the lead coming out of the stretch. Under perfect race conditions with no wind and a fast track, the pair completed the 400 yards in a time of :19.990 for a speed index of 91.
The bay gelding is bred and owned by Glenn Graff and trained by Matt Frazier. The connections shared in the gelding’s race winnings of $46,255.
High Rolling Seize is a multiple stakes winner and now holds a career earnings of $346,608. He took home the gold in the Blue River Derby last July at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
High Rolling Seize is out of Crossing The Brazos. He is the dam’s leading progeny by earnings, wins, and stakes wins.
Carters Law (Carters Cartel-Zoomin Zoey
B) and jockey Aron Hunt lead the field but were outfinished, settling for second. The filly is bred and owned by Gordon Timm and trained by Karin Yike. She won the Sterlie Bertram Memorial Stakes at Horseshoe Indianapolis last October.
Under jockey Erik Esqeda, HH C J Shake (Escondido Beach-Shakem Jake) was prominent throughout the race, only losing the second place slot by a nose coming over the wire. The gelding
is owned by Carter, Larry, Myers, John, Bell and Hawkins, Rusty. He is a multiple stakes winner and is trained by Shawna Martin.
Finishing the field were Mr Michel (Kiss My Hocks-Lovemelikethat), Stone Lake (Escondido Beach-Silly Chix), El Fulano (Encore-RC Give Her A Chance), Hooked On Jordan (Fast Prize Jordan- Hooked On Laveaux), Alota Lovin (Lota PYC-Ms Victoria), Good Time Stoli (Duponte-A True Stoli), J J Zoomin (Jess Zoomin-Justa Dance).
DA BROS CARTEL

Second fastest qualifier, Da Bros Cartel secured his first stakes victory in the $60,000 Far West Futurity at Grants Pass Downs on Oct. 8.
With Cesar Moreno aboard, Da Bros Cartel broke
first from the No. 4 gate and lead the way in a flawless wire-to-wire run. The gelding crossed the finish line first with a 3/4-length advantage and stopped the timer at :20.026, earning a 93 speed index. This win improved his record to two firsts and five seconds from seven starts, and he took home the winner’s share of $24,000 for owner Edwin F. Rosales. Da Bros Cartel is trained by Jose Rosales Gomez.
The gray gelding’s previous stakes performances this season include second place finishes in the John Deere Emerald Downs Juvenile Challenge, the Firecracker Futurity at Grants Pass, and the Pocatello Downs Spring Futurity.
Bred in Oregon by the Hayden Brothers Ranch, Da Bros Cartel is out of the Stoli mare Glitteratti, who has produced two winners from six starters. Her only stakes winner is Da Bros Cartel.
Ridden by Jaime Lopez, Nowhere Too Run (Freakier-A Cataclysmic Affair) finished second for owner Onofre Garcia and trainer Benito Curiel. The sorrel gelding placed first in the Emerald Downs Juvenile Challenge in August.
Linda Sanders and F. Darrell’s homebred L Bar D Darlyn (Power Jam TB-L Bar D Dixon Delite) placed third under jockey Alex Anaya. The filly is trained by Hector Magallanes.
The remaining order of finish was Winagin (Separate Rainbow-XX Me For Moolah), Peregrino AF (Separatist-Misterious Lady), Knocking It Off (Favorite Cartel-Knocking On The Door), The Midnight Sky (One For The Brothers-Chick N Dales Pride), Littlerockinrunaway (Duponte-Three Twenty), and Red Stars (Red Hot Master- Shestothestars). El Cookie was scratched.
