LIGHT FOOTED

Light Footed scored her first stakes victory in the $35,902 Adequan Evergreen Park Derby Challenge on Aug. 22.
Ridden by Ricardo Moreno, Light Footed broke in second from the inside post and quickly secured the lead. They crossed the wire 1/2-length in front, completing the 400 yards in :20.501 and posting an 87 speed index.
The filly brought home the $17,592 winner’s share of the purse home for owner Charles Stojan and trainer William Leeach, boosting her total lifetime earnings to $39,589. She now has a race record of 6-3(1)-3(2)-0. Raced exclusively in Canada, Light Footed ran second in last year’s Canada Cup Futurity-G3 and Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge.
Edward Allred bred Light Footed out of winner Chickafirst. She has produced 100% money earners from 14 starters, including top earner Freakish, who won the James S Smith Memorial Handicap, and stakes placed La Sierran, who ran third in the California Breeders’ Freshman Fillies Stakes. Light Footed is the second stakes winner in the brood.
Lovely Cuvee (Tres Seis-Fovee) ran second under J. Botello for owner Beckham Ranch and trainer Allen Goodsell. The filly won the Evergreen Park Distaff Challenge earlier this year.
Honeys Painted Pop (PYC Paint Your Wagon- Gols Honey Money) had the lead for a while but
had to settle for third for owners Bob Perlich, Tracy Beakstead and Buckey Stockwell, who also trains the gelding. Blandford Stewart was handling the reins. Honeys Painted Pop win last year’s Canada Cup Futurity-G3 and Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge.
Getit Foose (Foose-Getit Together), Double Cruise (BD Cruiser-Eye Cruise), Tee For Teller (Teller Cartel-Feelin The Fever) and First Down Daddy (Big Daddy Cartel-Dashing All Alibis) com- pleted the order of finish.

FLIGHT CLUB

Flight Club scored his first stakes victory in the $37,024 John Deere Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge on Aug. 22.
Flight Club took flight from the 1-post on the lead under jokey Ricardo Moreno. The colt spread his wings and never looked back. Halfway down the track Flight Club was already 2-lengths in front, and he crossed the line with a 2 1/2-length margin.
He completed the 350 yards in :18.438 to earn an 80 speed index. The colt brought home the $18,512 winner’s share of the purse for owner Charles Stojan and trainer William Leech, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $19,287. His race record stands at one win from two races. He ran second in his maiden outing earlier this month.
Steve Burns DVM bred Flight Club out of win- ner Separate Flight, a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winners Rock You and Little Talks. The mare has produced two winners from four starters, including stakes placed Favorite Flight. Flight Club is her first stakes winner. Flight Club’s second dam is Golden State Futurity-G1, PCQHRA Breeders Futurity-G1 and Los Alamitos Million Juvenile Invitational-RG3 winner Babe On The Fly.
Halos Sign (Wagon Tales-Hawks Halo) outran Flight Club in their previous meeting, but today was second best for owner Donalda Cochrane. The Allen Goodsell trainee had J. Botello aboard. This marks the fillly’s second start. She won her maiden earlier this month.
Cerveza Corona (Favorite Cartel-Corona Mas Fina) finished in third under D. Benitez for owner Charles Stojan and trainer William Leech. This is the colt’s first start.
Bright Foo Fighter (Gone To The Mountain-DJ Bright Sweetheart) and Fast Red Flyer (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Fast Red Rose) completed the order of finish. BDB Mach Man was scratched.
Wyoming Futurity
KP DILLON

KP Dillon has won five out of six lifetime races, his latest coming in the finals of the $61,750 Wyoming Downs Futurity on Aug. 16.
Ridden by Jesus Valenzuela, the gelding stepped
away from the 4-post on top. KP Dillon briefly slipped into second, but regained his lead to cross the wire a nose in front. He completed the 350 yards in :17.602, earning a 96 speed index.
KP Dillon brought home the $28,405 winner’s share of the purse for breeder/owner Karl Peterson and trainer Riley Moosman, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $86,182. KP Dillon won his Aug. 2 trial to this race wire-to-wire for the fastest qualifying time. The gelding won the Hadley/Giles Futurity at Weber Downs in May. His only loss was a second place finish in the Beehive Futurity at Laurel Brown in June.
Peterson bred KP Dillon out of winner BK Roxyamovin. She has produced two winners from three starters. KP Dillon is her first stakes winner.
Cady Shack Creek (Maknmoves-Echo Creek Canyon) won her trial heat for the eighth fastest time, stepping up her game to take second for owner Robert Fox. The Diana Garfias trainee had Carlos Guillen Chacon in the saddle. The filly was fifth
in the Utah Bred Futurity last month. Third fastest qualifier Picture Esque (Favorite Cartel-Sweetest Illusion) ran true to form under Gerardo Vera to bank third place money for owner Melody Olsen
and trainer Glade Van Tassell. The filly ran third in the South Valley Futurity earlier this year. Followed by Gulfstream 650 (Foose-Cowgirls Gone Wild),
JH Titanium Alibi (Jr Dynasty Mountain-SH Alibi Dash), VVR Corona Cowboy (Coronas Velvet-Proud Caption), Political Bedlam (Apollitical Jess-Miss Bedlan), Wildroses 101 (Ja Jess Perfect-Weeds In My Roses) and RJR Mountain (Jr Dynasty Mountain-R Forte). VF Politically Red was scratched.
