If the EVA Booster Certification is not received by February 01, 2021,
your stallion’s status will be changed to INACTIVE for the New Mexico Bred program, and any resulting foals will NOT be eligible for the New Mexico Bred program.
For a stallion to be Re-activated in the New Mexico Stallion Registry, there will be a Re-Activation fee of $200.00, and the stallion must have a negative EVA test
and vaccinated for EVA within ten days of the negative test.
Once appropriate documentation is received in the NMHBA office,
any 2022 foal(s) may then be registered as New Mexico Bred. However, PENALTIES WILL APPLY.

  WASCALLYWITTLEWABBIT
  Facing open stakes company, registered New Mexico-bred Wascallywittlewabbit was
a prompt 6-5 favorite in the Sept. 5, 870-yard Bill Reed Memorial Stakes at Ruidoso Downs.
Wascallywittlerabbit defeated New Mexico-bred Why Buy The Cow by 3 1/4-lengths in :44.672. Benito Baca rode the gelding for owner Rogers Farms and trainer Mike Joiner.
”I’ve never seen a rabbit faster than him,” said Baca. “He’s getting better with every race. My job was just to get him out in front, and he did the rest.”
Wascallywittlerabbit was bred by Mike Weatherly. The gelding’s sire, Heza Motor Scooter, earned $259,682 and he won the 2001 El Primero del Ano Derby-G1 at Los Alamitos.
Heza Motor Scooter has sired the earners of more than $3.9 million from nine crops, including 2012 Champion of Champions-G1 winner Rylees Boy and stakes winners Why Buy The Cow and Queen Arabella.
Wascallywittlewabbit is out of Rabbits N Diamonds, an unraced daughter of the Yawls
Rabbit stallion Rabbits Rainbow. His second dam, the Coup de Kas TB mare Shines Likea Diamond, won the ‘98 KHEY-Y96 Handicap at Sunland Park.
Wascallywittlewabbit traces back his fourth dam, She’s My Doll, a daughter of Jet Smooth, who won the 1973 Challenge Cup Maturity at Midland Downs in Texas.
Wascallywittlewabbit was coming off of
a wire-to-wire, 2 1/2-length victory in the July 26, $50,000 Zia 870 Championship-R for New Mexico-bred Quarter Horses
and Thoroughbreds at Ruidoso Downs. Campaigned in New Mexico and Oklahoma, Wascallywittlewabbit has won six of 14 starts, and the $12,000 winner’s share of the purse from his second stakes win pushed his bank- roll to $97,787, of which $59,416 has been pocketed this season.
Dan The Flashman finished third, 4 1/4-lengths behind Wascallywittlewabbit. Executive Trust, Secular Nation and Coastal Confessions completed the order of finish.
Why Buy The Cow is a 5-year-old Heza
Motor Scooter gelding owned by Carrol A. Durbin. Why Buy The Cow has won four of 15 outs, including last year’s $145,000 New Mexico Cup 870 Championship Stakes-R at Zia Park, and he has earned $168,921.
Dan The Flashman is a New Mexico-bred by Champion First Moonflash racing for Victor Diaz. The 5-year-old brown gelding has won six of 19 starts, including last year’s Zia 870 Championship-R, he has banked $125,258.
