Miss Polly Classic-G3
EXQUISITE STRIDE

Exquisite Stride made his first start at Delta Downs a winning one, registering a narrow vic- tory in the $50,000 Grade 3 Miss Polly Classic on
June 25.
Following a fourth-place finish in the 440-
yard Bank of America Remington Championship Challenge-G2 in his previous start in May, Exquisite Stride relished the cut back in distance to the 400- yards of the Miss Polly Classic.
Ridden by Joe Badilla Jr., Exquisite Stride
broke fifth and raced in fourth position early in the contest. He rallied strongly in the lane, however, overhauling Jess Toast Winner approaching the finish line to prevail by a neck at the wire. Exquisite Stride covered the distance in :19.550, earning a speed index of 98.
Michael Taylor saddled the four-year-old colt for owner D & S Racing, LLC. The win improved Exquisite Stride’s record to 11-6-2-1 and increased his bankroll to $232,532 with the addition of the $30,000 Miss Polly Classic winner’s share.
Exquisite Stride was bred in California by John Andreini out of the winning mare Tinys Lil Jess. She has produced 100% money earners from three starters with earnings over $285,000. Exquisite Stride is her top money earner as well as her first stakes winner.
Runner-up Jess Toast Winner (Toast to Dash- Runaway Jessy), owned by Maria Guadalupe Araiza and trained by Rodolfo Sanchez, finished a game sec- ond for John Hamilton. Secrets Fly (No Secrets Here- Once Upon a Fly), led early and held the show spot under Eddi Martinez, who piloted the 5-year-old geld- ing for owner-trainer Jesus Garrido. Followed by Ojo De Rey (Mr Eye Opener-Joyalty), JRC Callas First (Winners Award-Calla Missy Jane), This Wagons Okay (PYC Paint Your Wagon-This Candys Okay), JB First Rose (First Down Dash-First Black Rose) & Moe Lassus (Favorite Cartel-This Candys Fast).
Alabama Futurity
MR TEE COS

Odds-on favorite Mr Tee Cos kept his record unblemished with a wire-to-wire victory in the $51,495 Alabama Futurity at Delta Downs on
June 24.
Mr Tee Cos was the fastest from the June 3 trials,
winning his heat just as he did the finals - wire- to-wire under jockey John Hamilton. His :17.087 clocking put him at the top of the qualifiers for the 330-yard fixture.
Mr Tee Cos and Hamilton jumped out to an early lead in the Alabama Futurity finals. They quickly opening up a 1-length advantage over their eight rivals. Despite drifting in some through the lane, Mr Tee Cos proved best with a 1/2-length margin of victory at the finish, clocking the distance in :16.923 for a speed index of 85.
Trey Ellis saddled the juvenile colt, who is a per- fect three-for-three in his young career. Mr Tee Cos now has earnings of $36,847 with the addition of the $25,747 winner’s share from the Alabama Futurity.
Mr Tee Cos is an Alabama homebred for Marcus Tillman and Winston Houston. Mr Tee Cos is the first runner for the winning mare Dashing Danali.
This Dolls Gone (Coronas Leaving You-Fast Prize Doll) broke in after the start and finished sec- ond under Joe Badilla Jr. for owners Raymond Loup and Talmadge Cook and trainer Kenneth Weeks.
Pops Marboro Man (A Rare Fortune-Pops Quick Dash) and jockey Jerry Yoakum ran a solid race to finish third. The sorrel gelding is owned by Jamie Brown and trained by Juan Picazo.
Followed by Wild Bill (Stoli-Todays Market), disqualified from 3rd to 4th for interference Shady Gray (American Runaway-Ole Auntie Em), Flared Up Streaker (Quick To Flare Up-Jolly Inez), I Fly Faasstt (Papasito-Joyful Toast), Bigtime Dreamer (Giorgino-Toy Dreams), and Steal My Vodka (Triple Vodka-Steal A Heart). Red Woody was scratched.
Virgil Bond Stakes
JLS BOOK OF PSALMS

JLS Book Of Psalms parlayed a sharp start into
a game victory in the Virgil Bond 870 Stakes at Delta Downs on June 3.
Ridden by Lucas Constantin, JLS Book Of Psalms broke alertly from his inside post position and charged to the front of the field. He dueled with Kr Jess Hopeful down the backstretch and around the turn before sneaking away from his rivals by 2-lengths in the lane.
EC Cartel hit his best stride late and closed the gap on the winner in the late stages, but JLS Book Of Psalms held the race favorite at bay to score by a 1/2-length at the finish. The winner, who was second in the race a year ago, stopped the clock for 870 yards in :46.156, earning a speed index of 92.
Trainer Lanny Keith saddled JLS Book Of Psalms, a 5-year-old sorrel gelding, for owner-breeder JLS Speed Horse Ranch Inc. It was the second stakes win for the sorrel gelding, who is now an earner of $133,379 with the addition of this $24,000 winner’s share.
Bred in Louisiana, JLS Book Of Psalms is produced from the 3-time winner Psalmist, who is
a 100% money producer and is also the dam of mil- lionaire, Champion and multiple New Track Record setter JLS Mr Bigtime.
Runner-up EC Cartel (Tinys First Corona- Twayna Too) broke in the air and was shuffled back early before rallying late under Donell Blake. The 7-year-old gelding is owned by Alejandra Carrion and trained by Judd Kearl.
Jockey Luis Guerrero guided Game Own (Game Patriot-My Own Fortune) to a 3rd-place finish for owner Yaima Grillo and trainer Yoani Abreu.
