In pursuit of being crowned the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown winner, Signs Of Livewire kept his hopes alive with a
stylish victory in the $74,267 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 at Fair Meadows Tulsa on July 23.
Already a winner of the Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity as
well as the Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 at Remington Park earlier this season, Signs Of Livewire proved unbeatable once more at Fair Meadows.
With regular rider Jesus Salazar in the irons, Signs Of Livewire scurried away from rivals immediately after the start of the 350- yard test. He opened a clear lead in the lane and rolled to the finish unchallenged, scoring by 2-lengths over Zbars Livewire FS in a final time of :17.806.
The wire-to-wire effort earned the odds-on favorite a speed index of 93 in a near repeat of the trial heat on July 9
