EIHA/JHRA Derby
THOUGHT IT THROUGH

Thought It Through scored her first stakes win in the $15,500 EIHA/JHRA Derby at Jerome County Fair on June 24.
With jockey Todd Thomas aboard, Thought It Through broke on top emerging from the 8-post. The bay filly led by a 1/2-length at the first call and 3/4-length at the top of the stretch. She eventually opened up a separation of a full length by the time she reached the finish line.
The 350-yard trip took :17.651 and produced a 105 speed index.
Farrol Cunningham trains Thought It Through, who captured a $6,200 payday that increased the total earnings of the filly to $15,212.
Jorge Munillo owns the three-year-old filly, who went to the winner’s circle for the third time in 10 career starts.
Thought It Through entered the EIHA/JHRA Derby race on a high note, winning her June 10 derby trial in wire-to-wire fashion by 1 1/2-lengths. She logged the quickest qualifying time in the trials, covering the 350 yards in :17.488 and setting a New Track Record.
Edward C. Allred bred Thought It Through out of Just Think, who won the 2003 Mistletoe Handicap, finished third in the 2002 PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity and was a finalist in four addi- tional graded stakes events. She earned $125,920 in her racing career.
As a broodmare, Just Think has produced
100% money earners from 13 starters, including
five blacktype runners. Her top earner is 2012 California Hi-Point Three-Year-Old Gelding. Check My Thoughts, a multiple Grade 1 winner. Also in the brood is Bemused, winner of the 2015 Stanton Handicap. Thought It Through, who also finished third in this year’s Gary Blattner/Harold Pence Memorial, is her third stakes winner.
Juno Jess (Jess Zoomin-Junos Eye) finished second under Jesus Virgen for owner BNB Racing, Inc. and trainer Ricardo Castillo.
Another Cunningham trainee, The Runnin Zodiac (Fantastic Corona Jr-Day Of Fame), came in third for owner CMH Welding, LLC. Jose Figueroa drew the riding assignment.
Striven (Stel Corona-Motherless), Lucken Bach (Favorite Cartel-Shez Changing Ways), Tempting Finale (Tempting Dash-Uzoom Corona), Just Maybe (Walk Thru Fire-Really Rare) and Toastdinero (Toast Your Dreams-Rare Jasmine) completed the order of finish.
Ajax Downs Bonus Challenge

Had To Be Ivory maintained his perfect record, winning the $17,285 Ajax Downs Bonus Challenge on June 17.
Ridden by Tony Phillips and aided by a reported 12-mph tail wind, Had To Be Ivory broke from the 5-post in third. The gelding was able
to grab the lead in the stretch, crossing the wire 1/2-length in front.
The team covered the 300 yards in :15.200 while posting a 107 speed index and his sixth win in as many starts.
Bryn Robertson saddled Had To Be Ivory for owners Carol and Jaime Robertson.
Raced exclusively at Ajax Downs, Had To Be Ivory has won three stakes, including last year’s 400-yard, $95,548 Alex Picov Memorial Futurity and 350-yard, $26,550 John Deere Ajax Downs Juvenile Challenge.
The $8,134 winner’s share of the Ajax Downs Bonus Challenge purse bumped the gelding’s bank- roll to $78,065.
The Robertsons bred Had To Be Ivory out of Had To Be Fandango, winner of the Maple Leaf Derby. She also had multiple runner-up events, including the Princess Stakes Derby, All Canadian Classic Maturity and Alex Picov Memorial Championship. Had To Be Fandango has produced 100% winners from two starters. Had To Be Ivory is her first stakes winner and top money earner.
Carneros (Prospect To The Top-Cakebread And Thou) and Ed Walton finished second for owner Milena Kwiecien and trainer Jason Pascoe.
Silky Senator (Louisiana Senator-Denali Peak) ran third under Josh Scott for owner Amelie Aubut and trainer Jason Pascoe.
Hardtostopatrain (Freighttrain B-A Leading Memory) and Island Vodka (Triple Vodka- Pantherisland) completed the order of finish. Favorite Pear was scratched
Four Corners Futurity
CM ROWDY JAMES

CM Rowdy James scored his first stakes win in the $96,590 Four Corners Futurity at The Downs at Albuquerque on July 1.
Under Jaime Leos, the gelding broke in second from the 7-post and began to fall behind. CM Rowdy James made a late jump, however, to grab the lead in the stretch, crossing the wire a head in front of the competition.
The duo completed the 350 yards in :17.579 while posting a career-high 88 speed index.
CM Rowdy James brought home the $45,397 winner’s share of the purse for owner Nadine Maben and trainer Gaston Valenzuela, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $45,997 from only two starts. His previous out was a runner-up attempt in the trials on June 2 where he was the third fastest qualifier.
Currie J. Maben Estate bred CM Rowdy James out of money earner Christinas Crystal. The mare has produced 100% money earners from nine start- ers, including Rapid James, winner of the 2015 New Mexican Spring Fling. CM Rowdy James is her second stakes winner and top money earner.
Delighful Moon Flash (First Moonflash- Delightful Cartel) and Adrian Ramos finished second for owner Melvin Neugebauer and trainer Wesley Giles.
FS Athomesinmystoli (Holmes TB-Absolute Stolita) finished third under Edgar Martinez for owners Richard E. Ford & Fred Sorenson and trainer Lonnie Vaughn.
Miss Ongoin Senator (Louisiana Senator-Blame It On Fame), Corona Louisiana Blu (Jess Louisiana Blue-Corona De Estrellas), Little Party Wagon (Little PYC-Anns Party Doll TB), Shes Got Fire (Corona Cartel-Separate Fire), JMF Dasher (Tempting Dash- Silly Chix), Woodys Copy Cat (Woodbridge-Fast Copy Miss) and Leap Year Teller (Teller Cartel- Overeasy Annie) completed the order of finish.
