IQHA Idaho Cup Futurity
A CARTEL HUSTLE

Unable to qualify a runner into the IQHA Idaho Cup Futurity finals in the Aug. 27 trials, jockey Eddie Aceves managed to get a mount in the finals.
The 350-yard race was worth a total of $30,696 and was run at Sandy Downs on Sept. 11.
A Cartel Hustle was the fastest qualifier in the Aug. 27 trials and he didn’t disappoint in the finals. The black gelding stepped away from 2-post on top and ran down the fast track facing a 20 mph head wind.
A Cartel Hustle crossed the line 1 1/4-length in front for a wire-to-wire win and stopped the clock at :17.501 to earn a 107 speed index.
With the first place check of $12,279, A Cartel Hustle has now earned $25,196.
The gelding is owned by RTM Stables,LLC, Larry Chapple and Dick Wasia and trained by Mark Hanson.
A Cartel Hustle was bred in Idaho by Larry Chapple, Dick Wasia and J. Hanson. out of lightly- raced Mothers Gift. A Cartel Hustle is her only foal.
JS Blaze Away (Agouti-Judging Julie) finished second under Nakia Ramirez. The geldings connec- tions include owner Jeff Steadman and trainer Wyatt Elison. JS Blaze Away won his trial heat and was the third fastest qualifier.
Mick Lovin (Im Alright Now-Micks Jewels) finished in third. His connections include owner Dakri Gilstrap & Broc Gilstrap and trainer Michael Monson. Jose Figueroa was in the irons.
Jess Vista (Swingin Jess-Osceola Vista) finished fourth and was followed by Kipassured (Kipas Special-Jess Assured), Running Arons (Fantastic Corona Jr-Check The List), CM Partners In Crime (Ivory James-Im Special Star), George Can Dash (Dashin Mr Jess-Alotta Ridge) and Hadtobebasic (Hadtobenuts-Bac To Basics). Memories Of Hadtobe was scratched.

RTM Moonshine earned her first stakes victory in the IQHA Idaho Cup Derby that was run at Sandy Downs on Sept. 11. The field of nine got off
evenly and everyone had a lane to run in on the fast track that had a 10 mph headwind.
RTM Moonshine broke on top from the 2-gate and managed a wire-to-wire win under Eddie Aceves, finishing a nose in front and earning a 98 speed index.
The 400-yard race carried a total purse of $15,196, and with first place money of $6,079
the filly has now earned total lifetime earnings
of $26,551 with six wins from eight starts. RTM Moonshine is owned by RTM Stables, LLC and cur- rently trained by Mark Hanson. She was previously trained by Jim Hanson.
RTM Moonshine was bred in Idaho by Susan T. Hanson out of winner Shirleys Secret. She has pro- duced 100% money earners from 4 starters including N.W. Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Gelding/top money earner RTM Mr Caccia and additional stakes winner RTM Say Your Prayers.
Show Me Bofum (Ivory James-Shez Changing Ways) just missed and finished second. His connec- tions include owners Bob and Scott Giltner. Scott Giltner also trains the gelding. Raymundo Torres had the riding assignment.
Favoritesixes (Favorite Cartel-Six And Stones) finished a close third. The gelding is also owned by Bob and Scott Giltner and is trained by Scott Giltner. Jordan Hadley was handling the reins.

Altamont Dash
SNOWY CORONITAS

Coming off a second place finish in the Aug. 4 PCQHRA Handicap at Sonoma County Fair, Snowy Coronitas came prepared for the 350-yard
Altamont Dash on Oct. 1.
With only two races under his belt, the four-
year-old gelding may lack experience, but he showed a big heart.
Snowy Coronitas flew away from the 4-gate on top and got the first call of the contest under regular rider Irving Orozco.
Orozco held steady after losing his whip and the pair crossed the wire a head in front to stop the timer at :17.896, earning a 96 speed index and a wire-to-wire win.
With first place money of $8,300 from the $15,450 purse, Snowy Coronitas now has a total bankroll worth $18,250.
The brown gelding has won two out of his three starts, including the July 23 Jack Clifford Stakes, at California State Fair, where he scored a wire-to-wire win by 1 3/4-length and earned a 102 speed index
in just his first out. Snowy Coronitas bettered that speed index to 103 in his second out finishing second in the PCQHRA Handicap.
His connections include owner Cuadra Mariscal and trainer Mario Loza.
Snowy Coronitas was bred in California by Luis Mariscal out of 3-time winner Snowy Memory. The mare has produced 100% money earn-
ers/ROM from three starters including top earner Snowy Gaddafy, the winner of the 2015 Jack Clifford Stakes who boasts a 106 speed index, and winner Snowy Dasher.
Eddies Jazzin (TR Dasher-Jazzin Mandi) finished second willingly under first-time rider Joe Crispin. Eddies Jazzin’s team includes owner Maria Corina Rodriguez and trainer Humberto Loma. The gelding was coming off a second place finish in the July 23 Jack Clifford Stakes at California State Fair.
Semper Fi (Walk Thru Fire-Kingman Kin) finished third under Juan Arriaga. His connections include owner/trainer Ricardo S. Guillen. The geld- ing was a finalist in the April 16 Dixie Downs Derby after winning his trial heat for the event.
You Do The Math (Ivory James-Sixes Power) fin- ished fourth and was followed by Rarely Occurs (Stel Corona-Seldom Happens), Ivys Storm (Red Storm Cat-Whats Jody), Vuelve El Rojo (Two Corona Special-Cashes Queen), Building Wealth (A Mere Chocolate-Zena) and Paulinas Prayer (Tac It Like A Man-Streakin Heaven BR).
