FANCY PANTS DC

Fancy Pants DC, a homebred son of the PYC Paint Your Wagon stallion Im A Fancy PYC, earned his first stakes victory in the $73,000 Laico Bird Stakes
for Oklahoma-bred two year olds at Remington Park on April 20.
Trained by Bill Goodnight for owner Shelly Coldwell Goodnight and sent to post as the 2-1 second choice in the full field of 10, Fancy Pants
DC broke well and covered the 330 yards in :16.895 while defeating 6-5 favorite Pepper Ryan by a neck. Cody Smith rode Fancy Pants DC, who was winning for the second time in two outs.
Fancy Pants DC made his debut with a 1/2-length victory in a 250-yard $26,600 maiden- special-weight dash at Remington Park on March 23. The brown gelding is out of DC Cartel, a winning homebred daughter of the Holland Ease stallion Corona Cartel. He traces back to his fourth dam, Miss Moon Pines, a stakes-winning Top Moon mare.
The $40,800 winner’s share of the Laico Bird Stakes purse increased Fancy Pants DC’s earnings to $54,640.
Pepper Ryan (One Dashing Eagle-Itea) banked $13,600 for his owners William E. Smith and Ky Luddington. James Flores rode the homebred sorrel gelding for trainer Heath Taylor.
Barbie Tales (Wagon Tales-Little Kool Barbie), a 20-1 longshot, ran third, a nose behind Pepper Ryan, for owner/trainer Stacy Charette-Hill, who also bred the bay filly. Jorge Torres rode Barbie Tales, who earned $7,480 for her third-place run.
Tres Of Hero (Tres Seis-Bp Mariahs Heroine), Clean Brew (Corona Cartel-Theslatesclean), Ew Train On Fire (Freighttrain B-DM Sashay N Fire), Latuda (Hes Relentless-Transaxle), Juanells Fireball (Highest Fire-Doyles Dashing Star), High Rate Of Desire (High Rate Of Return-Hi Ho Desirio), and Ritas Back On Track (Freighttrain B-Perry Story) completed the order of finish.

VF JEDI RETURNS

VF Jedi Returns got away from the 3-gate well in the $73,000 Mr Master Bug Stakes, a 350 yard event at Remington Park on April 20.
The gelding showed a lot of grit and determina- tion by powering his way to the front, and jockey Juan Pulido guided his mount to a win by a head over his rivals.
The pair stopped the timer in :17.609 to earn an 87 speed index.
The gelding also earned first place money worth $40,800 for owner Julio Contreras and trainer Samuel Valdivia, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $163,420.
His race record is now 11-7(1)-1(1)-0 and he has won his last five out of eight starts since Samuel Valdivia has taken over the conditioning.
Victory Farms bred VF Jedi Returns out of Corona Couture, who was second in the Morning Snow Handicap and a finalist in the 2006 Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1, PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity-G1 and 2007 Golden State Derby-G1. The mare has produced 100% money earners from seven starters, including stakes placed Jess Cuz. VF Jedi Returns is her first stakes winner and top earner.
Little Kool Belle (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Little Kool Barbie) finished 2nd under Jorge Torres for co- owner/trainer Stacy Hill & co-owner Leann J. Burns.
Americas Dynasty (FDD Dynasty-Marys Southernpolicy) and Agustin Silva were third owner Dunn Ranch and trainer R.L. Robinson.
Tarish (Prospect To The Top-Fast Prize Zoom) was fourth and was followed by Saratoga Return (High Rate Of Return-Johns Party Girl), JS History Lesson (FDD Dynasty-Tell A Story), Throw Th Dice (American Runaway-Modice), Jess Let It B (Valiant Hero-Jess B Mighty), Pops Tempting Wagon (Tempting Dash-Pops Zooming Wagon) and My Take (Coronado Cartel-Dancing Iam).

MS ESTHER

Ms Esther has only made eight lifetime starts, but she makes each outing count. She won for the fifth time, taking down the top prize in the
$60,400 Pauls Valley Stakes-G2 at Remington Park on April 4.
Ridden by her regular rider Andrew Samaniego, Ms Esther raced near the back of the pack early in the 870-yard marathon. Around the far turn, she raced to the inside of fallen rider Agustin Silvan, whose mount, CJS Rockhard N Ready, had clipped heels and moved toward the leaders. Ms Esther col- lared race favorite, Jess A Hilbily Bone and jockey Randy Wilson, in deep stretch, getting up just in time to score by a neck. She covered the distance in :46.555, earning a speed index of 83.
Ms Esther brought home the $37,038 win- ner’s share of the purse for owner/trainer Jordan Baumann, boosting her total lifetime earnings to $78,092 Her race record is now 8-5(1)-1-0.
Duwyne and Janice Pfeifle bred Ms Esther out of winner Tres Down The Cash, who ran third in the 2008 Harrah’s Entertainment Derby. She has pro- duced 100% winners from two starters. Ms Esther is her first stakes winner and top earner.
Jess A Hilbily Bone (Rock Solid Jess-Imaginiff) ran second under Randy Wilson for owner Rockin J Running Horses and trainer Tammy Johnson. The gelding was seeking his 2nd straight victory
Blazen Panther (Panther Mountain-Blazen Madie) and jockey Daniel Torres were third for owner Jonathan Chavira and trainer Luz Chavira.
Cloud Ridge (Carters Cartel-Snow Clouds), Madewell (Jess Jones-Streakin Peacock), Rock A Billy (Rock Solid Jess-Imaginiff), and Amsterdams Big Daddy (Big Daddy Cartel-Amsterdam) com- pleted the order of finish. CJS Rockhard N Ready (Rock Solid Jess-Sultry Miss) clipped heels and lost his rider.
