THIS PARTIES HOPPIN

This Parties Hoppin scored his first stakes victory in the $55,960 Mile High Derby at Arapahoe Park on Oct. 8.
This Parties Hoppin qualified to the Mile High Derby with a third-place finish in his Sept. 16 trial for the final qualifying position to the finals. In those, This Parties Hoppin stepped away from the 7-post with Daniel Valles aboard for the first time. At the start, they were in 4th but they quickly began to gain ground to grab the lead by a head at the halfway point. They crossed the wire a 1/2-length
in front and completed the 400 yards in :15.20, while posting an 88 speed index. Trained by Uriel Delgado, the gelding brought home the $22,384 winner’s share of the purse for owner Vences Racing, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $54,977.
Jose Antonio Flores bred This Parties Hoppin out of winner Bsimjumpn, a full sister to Headturner, winner of the Los Alamitos Winter Derby-G1 and
El Primero Del Ano Derby-G2. Bsimjumpn has produced three winners from six starters. This Parties Hoppin is her first stakes winner. His
second dam is Imjumpn, winner of the Aliso Viejo Handicap and Anaheim Hills Handicap.
Seventh fastest qualifier Lunas Flashy Jolla (First Moonflash-Baby La Jolla) ran a gritty race to take 2nd under Jesus Olivas for owner Hugo Barron-Sierra & trainer Jose Barron. Indeed (Wagon Tales-Dancing
Iam) ran true to form as the 3rd fastest qualifier and a 3rd place finish in the finals for owner Jose Castaneda and trainer Jose Chavez. Manuel Meza was aboard. Followed by Tale All (Wagon Tales-Chick With Speed), LR Tempting Beast (Tempting Dash-Racing Streak), Ramacin Ranger (EC Jet One-Hot As Diamonds), Do You Do For Zoomin (Zoomin For Bux-Do You Do Jess), Lopini (Separate Interest-Firebaugh Filly), disqualifed from 8th to 9th Capos Cowgirl (Capo De Capi-Hooray Cowgirl) and Tres Crest (Tres Seis-Cassandra Crest).

KOOLER WAGON

Since Jonathan Dominguez has taken over the riding assignment, Kooler Wagon has won her last two
in a row. Her latest was the $15,500 Rocky Mountain Championship at Arapahoe Park on Oct. 13.
Kooler Wagon was calm in the gates and broke in second from the 5-post. She secured the lead at the halfway point and crossed the wire 1 1/2-lengths in front.
Trained by Uriel Delgado, they completed the 400 yards in :19.754 to post a 101 speed index.
Kooler Wagon earned the $9,300 winner’s share of the purse for owner Alma Olivas, which brought her total bankroll to $36,868.
The filly has won five races from 11 starts and was a second place finisher in last year’s Dolls Prodigy Stakes and was a finalist in the Lucille Rowe Derby, both also hosted at Arapahoe Park.
Thomas Bradbury/Vaughn Cook bred Kooler Wagon out of multiple winner Beaus Wagon, who finished 2nd in the 2013 Holiday Handicap at Los Alamitos. The mare2 has produced two winners from 4 starters, including One Happenstance, who won the Campeonato Nacional Dia Del Charro earlier this year in Mexico.
Jess Un Sies Mas (Apollitical Jess-Seis Star Glitter), who was coming off an eight win record out of 10 outs, finished second. The gelding was ridden by Jesus Olivas for owner Hugo Sierra and trainer
Jose Barron. Jess Un Sies Mas most recently won the Dolls Prodigy Stakes in Sept. Tainted Halo (Jess Being Valiant-Make Money Zoomin) ran a steady and even race for third under Daniel Valles for owner Jean Chavers and trainer Howie Chavers Jr. The filly was fourth in the Dolls Prodigy Stakes earlier this year and in the 2020 Lucille Rowe Derby.
Up To Hit (Kiddy Up-Hot To Hit) and La Blue Perry (Mr Jess Perry-La Blue Angel) completed the order of finish. Lotas First and Seis Coronas In were scratched.
Hoosier Park Classic
VALIANTINECANDYROCKS

Valiantinecandyrocks made it three consecutive stakes scores with a dominating victory in the $82,468 Hoosier Park Classic at Indiana Grand Race Course on Oct. 12.
Ridden by Juan Marquez, Valiantinecandyrocks fled the starting gate in good order and grabbed
the early lead in the 400-yard test. The 5-year-old mare progressively increased her advantage through the lane and won under wraps as she pleased by 1 1/4-lengths at the finish, defeating last year’s winner of the race Beach Mercedes. In registering her 10th career win, Valiantinecandyrocks stopped the clock in :19.831 and earned a 97 speed index.
Trainer Randy Smith saddled the top two finishers, and the winner is owned by Lance and Tammy Finlinson of Greenwood, Indiana. For Valiantinecandyrocks, the $45,815 winner’s share of the purse increased her bankroll to $260,779 and the win improved her overall record to 19-10-2-1. She is now a winner in four of five starts in 2021.
In addition to the Hoosier Park Classic, Valiantinecandyrocks has also annexed this year’s Bob Woodard Memorial Classic and the Indiana Grand Classic. Bred in Indiana, Valiantinecandyrocks is out of winner Jesses Candy.
Runner-up Beach Mercedes (Escondido Beach- Jess Alive Bully), piloted by German Rodriguez,
is a homebred for Sheri Miller. Miller also bred third-place finisher Jess A Flyin Beach (Escondido Beach-Jess Alive Bully), who is owned and trained by Anthony Cunningham. Luz Martinez was aboard.
Beach Cartel (Escondido Beach-Flashin Dee Dee), HH C J Shake (Escondido Beach-Shakem Jake), Hooked On Jordan (Fast Prize Jordan- Hooked On Laveaux), Beach Benny (Escondido Beach-Streaking Stitches), and Falcon (El Diablo Tres-Southern Honeymoon) completed the order of finish. J J Zoomin was scratched.
