ROYAL CASH FLASH

Trainer Clinton Crawford completed the Trifecta in the $72,300 Gopher State Futurity at Canterbury Park on Aug. 11. His trainees Royal Cash Flash, Left Town, and Relentless Candy finished one-two-three.
Brenda Reiswig owns Royal Cash Flash and bred the filly in Oklahoma.
“We have a ranch in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and breed horses there,”
Reiswig said.
Royal Cash Flash ran
third and second in two starts at Remington Park before heading to Canterbury. At that Minnesota track, she has won three of four starts.
Bettors sent Royal Cash Flash off as the 5-2 favorite
in the 350-yard Gopher State Futurity. Jorge Torres rode Royal Cash Flash, who broke in seventh. She rallied on the rail to win by 1/2-length in :17.591
on the sealed track labeled good. The time was good for an impressive 102 speed index.
Reiswig, whose program produces 15-18 foals a year, bred Royal Cash Flash from the mare Seis The Royal Cash.
“For me it was actually extra special,” Reiswig said, “because this filly’s mother won this same race six years ago coming out of the one hole,
which is what this filly did. This filly’s mother is very special to us. She’s a unique mare. We
lost her mother, and we lost her younger sister. So she is the only one that we have left.”
Seis The Royal Cash has produced two winners from four starters. The family traces back to Time For Royal Cash, the fourth dam of Royal Cash Flash and a multiple grade 1 winner at Los Alamitos.
Josh Romero piloted Left Town (Kiddy Up-Kingman
Sis) to second for Crawford. Renee Wilson owns Left Town, who ran third in the
July 7 Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity at Canterbury Park.
PV Quarter Horse Farms LLC’s homebred Relentless Candy (Hes Helentless-Roll On Candy Wagon) finished third. Ry Eikleberry rode the filly for Crawford. Relentless Candy finished third in the July 7 Mystic Lake Northlands Juvenile Stakes, also at Canterbury Park.
Completing the field were Tipsy Girl B (Hes Relentless-Devil Wears Prada B), A Valiant Diamond (One Valiant Hero-Sixy Chamisa), Sizzling Fajita (Apollitical Jess-Anita Fajita), HR Storm On In (Red Storm Cat-Scentsy), Nanyehi (Tempting Dash-Zoomin To The Ocean), Special Candy Kisses (Kiss My Hocks- Special Candy Paint) and A Tres Of Sign (Tres Seis-First Painted Sign).
