PYC JESS BITE MYDUST

PYC Jess Bite Mydust sprinted to her fifth stakes win in the $38,600 Cash Caravan Stakes at Canterbury Park on Aug. 10.
A sealed track and a stiff tail wind greeted the
runners. The gelding broke from the 5-post and veered to the outside. Under the guidance of Julian Serrano, PYC Jess Bite Mydust was able to settle and began to gain steadily on the leader until he crossed the wire a neck in front. They completed the 400 yards in :19.704, posting a 98 speed index.
Owned by Lunderborg LLC, PYC Jess Bite Mydust scored the $19,300 winner’s share of the purse for trainer Jason Olmstead, pushing his total bankroll to $247,531.
PYC Jess Bite Mydust has previously won the Bank of America Canterbury Park Championship Challenge, North Star State Stakes and the Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity.
Lunderborg LLC bred PYC Jess Bite Mydust out of winner Paint Or More. She has produced 100% stakes winners from two starters. PYC Jess Bite Mydust is a full brother to runner-up Dickey Bob, winner of the Minnesota Derby and Futurity, Bob Morehouse Stakes, Cash Caravan Stakes and North Star State Stakes.
Dickey Bob (Apollitical Jess-Paint Or More) is also owned by Lunderborg LLC and trained by Jason Olmstead. Cristian Esqueda was in the irons.
Holy Storm (Red Storm Cat-Holy White Socks TB) took home third place money under Nik Goodwin for owner Daniel Kjorsvik and trainer Patrick Swan. The gelding was previously a finalist in the Minnesota Futurity as well as the Minnesota Stallion Breeders’ Futurity.
Streak N Sparks (Azoom-Streak N Sierra) and Haute Wagon (Wagons West-Chics Timeto Fling) completed the order of finish. Jess Doin Time and Polar Xpress were scratched.
Skip Zimmerman Memorial
CALIFORNIA BLOSSOM

Two California-breds, California Blossom and Fosse, competed against six others in the $25,000 Skip Zimmerman Memorial Stakes at Canterbury Park on Aug. 11, and they completed the Exacta.
Fosse went off as the favorite, but California Blossom, the 6-1 fifth choice, prevailed. With jockey Stormy Smith in the irons, California Blossom
shot to the front right after the break and won by 1-length. Her time of :17.360 over the sealed track labeled good was a Canterbury track record, breaking the previous mark of :17.411 set in 2009. California Blossom earned a career-best speed index of 109.
Robert Johnson trains California Blossom for George Seward, who has owned the filly since she began racing at Canterbury in the middle of last year. California Blossom also won the 2018 Iowa Double Gold Derby at Prairie Meadows and now has seven victories in 18 lifetime starts, with one second and four thirds.
The Parsons Family Limited Partner bred California Blossom from its homebred winner Quiero Dinero. California Blossom is the mare’s only registered foal.
Nik Goodwin rode Fosse (Foose-Check N Fetch) to second. R. A. Hybsha trains the 4-year- old filly for owner Mitch Milliron. Fosse won
two of 11 previous starts. First Of 15 (Apollitical Jess-Tinys Corona Queen) ran third under jockey Cristian Esqueda for owner Richard Tobin and trainer Jason Olmstead. The 4-year-old filly won the 2018 Gopher State Derby.
In fourth was Eagle Deluxe (One Famous Eagle-Corona Deluxe) with Quick Dashin Perry (Mr Jess Perry-Royally Sandra) in fifth. Yes No Yes (Stel Corona-Quick Meggie) and Ima Dashin Follie (Ivory James-Dimples Dash O Denim) finished in a dead-heat for sixth Painted Dynasty (FDD Dynasty- Tygers Painted Girl).
Cam Casby Futurity
BEEP BEEP ZOOM ZOOM

Beep Beep Zoom Zoom scored her first stakes win in the $20,000 Cam Casby Futurity at Canterbury Park on Aug. 10.
The filly broke from the 2-post under Cristian
Esqueda and although she didn’t get away very well, her lane stayed open and she quickly made up ground to grab second at first call. In the stretch, Beep Beep Zoom Zoom grabbed the lead and crossed 1/2-length in front.
They completed the 300 yards in :15.729, post- ing a 92 speed index.
Raced in Minnesota and Oklahoma, Beep Beep Zoom Zoom was coming off a fifth place finish in the MQHRA Stallion Auction Futurity.
Owned by Summer Run Inc., the filly brought home the $12,000 winner’s share of the purse for trainer Jason Olmstead, boosting her total lifetime earnings to $16,582.
Bob Moore Farms bred Beep Beep Zoom Zoom out of lightly raced Etta Betta Zoom. She has pro- duced 100% money earners from five starters. Beep Beep Zoom Zoom is her first stakes winner.
Capos Hero (Capo De Capi-Shake Rattlenroll) and jockey Julian Serrano were second for owner Corey Wilmes and trainer Edward Hardy Ross. Jess A Lil Cash (Ja Jess Perfect-Dimples Dash O Denim) finished third under Stormy Smith for owner Jesse Geditz and trainer Robert Johnson. In fourth place was Iza Bela B (Feature Mr Bojangles-Little Miss Hempness), in a dead heat for 5th were Wicked 6 (Ocean Runaway-Six It Up) and Dirt Road King (Majestic Cartel-Dirt Road Queen), followed by Vo Fantastic Aira (Fantastic Corona Jr-Fly Eyeann), Chicklet (Country Chicks Man-Foolish Guns), Give Me Mucho Dinero (This Chets A Rockin- Cuervo On Special) and Custom Painted Wagon (Feature Mr Bojangles-Magics Miracle Wagon). Myownersbroke was scratched.
