TIMBERSKNIGHTRYDER

Trainer James Doolin and jockey Ramiro Castillo scored a stakes double Sept. 22 at Century Downs. They collaborated to win both the $27,220 Alberta Bred Derby with Bringonthewave and
the $45,529 Alberta Bred Futurity-RG3 with Timbersknightryder.
Timbersknightryder had previously won two of three previous starts, including his Sept. 3 futurity trial, where he broke on top and qualified the fastest with Ramiro Castillo aboard for the first time.
In the final, Timbersknightryder didn’t break as quickly, but he came on strong late in the 350 yards to win by 1/2-length in :18.078.
The $20,314 winner’s share of the purse boosted his total lifetime earnings to $25,600.
Tony Laczo owns Timbersknightryder, having purchased him for $2,750 (Canadian funds) at the 2017 Alberta Quarter Horse Association Yearling Sale. Isaak Fehr bred Timbersknightryder out
of 3-time winner Sparkling Hy. She has pro- duced 100% money earners from two starters. Timbersknightryder is her first stakes winner and top earner.
Neville Stephenson rode Royale Special (Special Fly Bye-Shawnee Royale) to second for owner Triple C Performance Horses and trainer Tom Kenway.
O Kingsley (First Timber-Burners Beauty) and Ceasar Cervantes were third for breeder/owner/ trainer Wesley Oulton.
JB Easy First Down (First Down Leaving-Tisa Easy Effort), Goldin Warrior (First Timber-Madam Goldilocks), Phenomabomb (First Timber-Keep On Keepin On), Blue Jean Day Dream (Volcom-Kissa Lil), Shesa Ivory Girl (Ivory League-Shes My Candy Girl), Sasses Quick Silver (First Timber-Sass N Dass) and Last Unicorn (Unification TB-Teller Reba) completed the order of finish.

Bringonthewave soared to his third stakes victory in the $27,220 Alberta Bred Derby at Century Downs on Sept. 22.
With Ramiro Castillo in the irons,
Bringonthewave broke on top and never looked back. At one point, the gelding had 1-length advantage. Gone To Be Bright closed some ground, but at the wire Bringonthewave scored by 1/2-length. They completed the 400 yards in :20.257 on a muddy track.
James Doolin trains Bringonthewave for owner Dale Zukowski. Bringonthewave won the 2017 Alberta Bred Futurity-RG3 and the Jerry Stojan Memorial Futurity. He also set a New Track Record at Century Downs for 400 yards.
Bringonthewave now has a race record of 13-7(3)- 1-2 and the $12,373 winner’s share of the purse boosted his total earnings to $60,658.
Shady Lane Stables bred Bringonthewave out of stakes-placed Special Corona. She has produced 100% money earners from 10 starters, including 2012 Maple Leaf Futurity winner Belladonte and 2014 Bonnett/ Brodon Futurity winner Stella Wave. Bringonthewave is her fourth stakes winner and top earner.
Ricardo Moreno rode Gone To Be Bright (Gone To The Mountain-DJ Bright Tarbaby) to second for owner Gonetothebrightside Syndicate and trainer William Leech.
First Prize Cruise (First Prize Doc-Eye Cruise) and Martin Ortiz were third for breeder/owner/ trainer Tom Kenway.
Machete (Wild On Corona-Queens Royal Dynasty), Llomars Dream (Azoom-Dazzled), Thisbudsforyou (Streakinisanattitude-Highnest TB), The Western Special (Special Fly Bye-Miss Dashing Vana), Atomic Blondie (Birdzilla TB-Sables Val)
and Shawnee Cartel (Teller Cartel-Shawnee Royale) completed the order of finish. Minuscule Monster was scratched.

CORONA B GONE

Corona B Gone scored his first stakes victory in the $41,400 Bank of America Emerald Downs Championship Challenge on Aug. 26.
Tickle Ur Fancy broke through the gate before the start, delaying the race a bit. When the gate did open, Corona B Gone brushed with L Bar D Bonnie Lee to his outside, but jockey Lorenzo Lopez got him clear, and they came on late to post a 3/4-length victory.
They completed the 440 yards in :22.329, posting a 90 speed index. The $19,044 winner’s share of the purse boosted the gelding’s total lifetime earnings to $45,545.
Hector Magallanes trains Corona B Gone for his father and owner, Ruben. Corona B Gone finished third in the 2017 Baxter Andruss Oregon Bred Futurity and 2018 Sun Downs Derby Challenge.
Michael and Shannon McKay bred Corona B Gone out of multiple stakes winner and New Track Record Setter Go Girl Gone. She has produced 100% winners from five starters, including Eagle
B Gone, winner of the 2013 Pot O’ Gold Futurity, Firecracker Futurity at Grants Pass and the 2014 Portland Meadows Fall Derby. Corona B Gone is her third stakes winner.
Kool Odds (Favorite Cartel-Kool Kue Chick) and Nikeela Black were second for owner RTM Stables LLC and trainer Mark Hanson.
Favorite Bling (Favorite Cartel-Spring Bling) fin- ished third under jockey Jonathan Roman for owner Juan Morales and trainer Jose Rosales Gomez.
Poutn On The Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Poutnlori), Mr PYC To You (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Stylish Sign), L Bar D Genuine Red (Genuine Strawfly-Be First Rose), L Bar D Bonnie Lee (Giorgino-Dash Home Deb), Tickle Ur Fancy (Dominyun-Sizzling Lola), Mals First Down (Shazoom-First A Princess) and For Sweet Jess (One Sweet Jess-For Some Cash) completed the order of finish.
