Gentilly Dash Stakes
JRS TAYLORS RUNNAWAY

JRS Taylors Runnaway scored his second stakes win in the $34,100 Gentilly Dash Stakes at Fair Grounds on Aug. 18.
Ridden by Everardo Rodriguez, JRS Taylors Runnaway grabbed the lead from his inside post away from the gate. He dueled throughout with Lil Bro Big Streak, outfinishing that rival to prevail by a neck.
They completed the 250 yards in :13.018, earn- ing a career-best 101 speed index.
JRS Taylors Runnaway brought home the $21,000 winner’s share of the purse for owner Rosalio Espinosa and trainer Martin Trejo, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $301,320.
It was the second stakes score for the gelding, who captured last year’s LQHBA Sale Futurity-RG1, and he also finished third in the LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity-RG1. In addition to his latest stakes success in the Gentilly Dash, JRS Taylors Runaway also finished second in the Billy Montgomery LAD Stakes earlier this year, and now boasts a record of 13-5(2)-3(1)-1(1).
Julien Stevens III bred JRS Taylors Runnaway out of unraced No Matches Tonight. She has pro- duced seven winners from eight starters, including 2011 De Saix Stakes winner No Crown Tonight. JRS Taylors Runnaway is her second stakes winner and top earner.
Lil Bro Big Streak (Jet Black Patriot-Annas Streakin Dash) finished second under John Hamilton for owner/trainer Rosendo Valdez.
BJS Magic Wings (Dragon Wings-Magic Shine) and Luciano Duenez were third for owner Lester Colomb Jr. and trainer Kenneth Weeks.
DM La Jolla (Hiclass La Jolla-DM Bella Mia) and Fast N Famous Eagle (One Famous Eagle-One Fast Kisser) completed the order of finish. RDD Lajollanfastdash was scratched.
De Saix Stakes
ROSTER MAN

Asharp break from the 8-post helped Roster Man score a wire-to-wire victory in the $34,400 De Saix Stakes at Fair Grounds on Sept. 8.
Under John Hamilton, the gelding broke on top and stayed there throughout to cross the wire 1/2-length in front.
They completed the 300 yards on a sloppy track in :15.401, posting a 95 speed index.
Roster Man brought home the $21,000 win- ner’s share of the purse for owner Luis Armando Castellanos and trainer Orlando Orozco, pushing his total lifetime earnings to $48,800.
Campaigned exclusively in Louisiana, Roster Man was a finalist in the July 7, $700,000 Lee Berwick Futurity-RG1 at Delta Downs.
Harris RS Inc. and Robicheaux Ranch bred Roster Man out of 2-time winner Jessy Jane, who was a finalist in the 2009 Ruidoso Futurity-G1. She has produced 100% money earners from four starters, including top earner Swype, who set a New Track Record at Fairmount Park for 350 yards. Roster Man is her first stakes winner.
Roster Man’s second dam, Sizzling, produced Imaqtpie, a half-sister to Jessy Jane who won last year’s Los Alamitos Winter Derby-G1.
Heza Battman (Heza Fast Man-Deltalicious TB) and Luis Vivanco were second for owner Jagger Horse Racing and trainer Miguel Rodriguez.
MPS Triple Zazoom (Triple Vodka-Zazoom) was third under Antonio Alberto for owner Mamou Prairie Stables and trainer Guadalupe Garza Jr.
Mia Jet In (Jet Black Patriot-PYC First Prize Mia), Jess Run Corona (Jess Louisiana Blue-First Corona Runner), TDZ Louisiana Toast (Jess Louisiana Blue- Shes A Royal Toast), Rollin Bye (Dashin Bye-Roll First), Cartel Majic (Five Bar Cartel-Slinkys Magic) and Piloto Ovation (Mr Piloto-Favorite Ovation) com- pleted the order of finish. Parti Wagon scratched.
French Quarter Stakes
DASHING SASHAY

Dashing Sashay registered her first stakes victory in the $25,300 French Quarter Stakes at Fair Grounds on Sept. 8.
Under Jorge Linares, Dashing Sashay broke in second from the 6-post, but quickly grabbed the lead and stayed there throughout to cross the wire a neck in front.
They completed the 330 yards in :16.671, post- ing a 96 speed index.
Dashing Sashay brought home the $15,000 winner’s share of the purse, boosting her total lifetime earnings to $62,206 for owner SF Racing
& Enterprises LLC and trainer Josue Huitron. Raced in Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana, the filly has won five of 11 starts. Dashing Sashay’s season resume includes a fourth-place finish in the 350-yard $218,000 Oklahoma Derby-G3 at Remington Park in March, and she was also a finalist in this year’s Easy Date Stakes.
Monty McNair bred Dashing Sashay out of 2-time winner Sashay Hot, who ran second in the 2012 West Texas Juvenile Stakes at Sunland Park and was a final- ist in the Hobbs America Futurity-G2 at Zia Park. She has produced 100% money earners from two starters. Dashing Sashay is her first stakes winner.
Graceful Eagle (One Famous Eagle-Duplicate Check) and Luis Vivanco were second for owner Florentino Leon and trainer Josue Huitron.
Memphis D Nasty (FDD Dynasty-Jess A Cartel) was third under John Hamilton for owner Adame Racing LLC and trainer Bruce Bell.
Zenergetic (Dominyun-Zenergy), Non Stop Patriot (Game Patriot-Tipsy Kitty), TK Zoomaway (Zoomin For Bux-Stol The Day), HR Chatter Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Excessive Chatter TB) and TTT Kas (Kas I Said So-Ima Georgiababy) completed the order of finish. Jess Political and La Mos Corona were scratched.
