RULE HE WILL TB

Rule He Will TB scored his first stakes win in the $20,000 Truly A Pleasure Handicap at Los Alamitos on Aug. 31.
Quarter Horse Bound To Bet went off as the
13-10 favorite and set the early pace in the 870-yard Truly A Pleasure. Rule He Will, ridden by Kellie McDaid, moved up inside and had to angle out when he couldn’t find room. He then got clear and won by 1 1/2-lengths.
They completed the 870 yards in :45.062, post- ing a 98 speed index.
Rule He Will brought home the $11,000 win- ner’s share of the purse for owner William Branch and trainer Jerry Wallace II, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $100,225.
A switch from the longer Thoroughbred races
at Santa Anita and Del Mar to shorter events at Los Alamitos has been just the thing for Rule He Will. In eight starts at Los Alamitos, Rule He Will has won seven of nine races, with one second and one third.
The late Kjell Qvale bred Rule He Will out of unraced Sonoma Bred. The mare has produced two Thoroughbred foals, both winners. The third dam, Love Conquers All, was a multiple stakes winner and earner of $149,783.
Barrington Harvey rode Towards The Light TB (Munnings-Golda M) to second for owner 4 Hares Racing Inc. and trainer Michael Curtis.
Dr. Ed Allred’s homebred Bound To Bet QH (Snowbound TB-Bet She Flys) finished third under jockey Vinnie Bednar for trainer Scott Willoughby. Bound To Bet won last year’s Truly A Pleasure Handicap.
Newport Coaster QH (TR Dasher-Wave Babe), Mason B TB (Stormin Fever-Excessive Theresa), Dream On Brother TB (Run Brother Ron-Dream Spotter) and Handful Of Pearls TB (Bertrando- River Of Tears) completed the order of finish.
Girl Secrets Handicap
MATILDA CZECH

Away from the races since March, Matilda Czech returned triumphantly to capture the $15,000 Girl Secrets Handicap at Los Alamitos on Sept. 14.
In her first start with trainer Jesus Nunez, Matilda Czech broke second under Cruz Mendez and quickly took the lead, which she lengthened throughout the 300 yards. The filly won by 1 1/4-lengths in :15.308, posting a 98 speed index.
Last year, Matilda Czech won the California Breeders’ Freshman Fillies Stakes and ran second in the Golden State Million Futurity-G1 and Ed Burke Memorial Juvenile Stakes.
Matilda Czech upped her earnings to $333,532 with the addition of the $8,250 winner’s share. Her record is now 13-7(2)-2(2)-0.
Owner/breeder EG High Desert Farms bred Matilda Czech out of Short Czech, winner of
the 2008 Southern California Derby-G1. The California Hi-Point Three-Year-Old Filly has pro- duced 100% winners from five starters, including 2016 California Breeders’ Freshman Stakes runner- up South West Red.
Jose Nicasio piloted Missmerizing (PYC Paint Your Wagon-License To Thrill) to second for owners Denny & Sandy Weigt and trainer Monty Arrossa. Missmerizing finished third in the 2017 John Deere Los Alamitos Juvenile Championship Challenge.
Reliance Ranches LLC’s homebred SC Vapor Trail (Corona Cartel-Spit Curl Diva) finished third under Jesus Ayala for trainer Mike Robbins. Madam Of Fire MV (Walk Thru Fire-Solid Connection), Better Than Ever (Kiddy Up-Life Changer), Splendid Cause (Apollitical Jess-Answer The Dream), Yashira Vista (One Famous Eagle- Strawberry Cartel) and Remember To Dash (First Down Dash-Remember Me Rose) completed the order of finish.
The Plan Handicap
MOMMAS DYNASTY

Mommas Dynasty scored her first stakes win in the $15,000 The Plan Handicap at Los Alamitos on Sept. 7.
Under Eduardo Nicasio, Mommas Dynasty broke in fifth from the 4-post and quickly raced into third by the first call. She fought for the lead, getting the win by a nose at the wire.
They completed the 350 yards in :17.888, posting an 86 speed index.
Mommas Dynasty brought home the $8,250 winner’s share of the purse for owners/breeders Edward & Von Zae McNelis and trainer Monty Arrossa, boosting her total lifetime earnings to $21,724. She now has a race record of 7-2(1)-2-1(1), including a third place attempt in the Hadley/Giles Futurity earlier this year.
“This year Jordan and Jessica Hadley had the horse in Utah, and they did a great job breaking her and running in several futurities up there,” said Arrossa.
The McNelis bred Mommas Dynasty out of lightly raced Bye Sweet Girl. She has produced 100% money earners from three starters, includ- ing Rumbled Britches, who was third in the 2016 Oneida County Fair Futurity. Mommas Dynasty is her first stakes winner and top earner.
Allyson Wonderland (Apollitical Jess-Just A Fairytale) was second under Jesus Ayala for owner Blaine Bateman and trainer Paul Jones.
Chasin Harm (Hawkinson-YR Brown Lucy) and Cody Jensen were third for owner Reed Pierson and trainer Paul Jones.
Ladys A Cartel (Five Bar Cartel-Significant Lady), Yoffi (Stel Corona-Walking On Sunshine), Dashing Candy Girl (Dashair-Found A Candy Tree), Babe Watchin (Texas Icon-Watchin The Rain), Bo Jaxon (Bodacious Dash-Feature Miss Fame) and Forever A Legacy (FDD Dynasty-Ms Legacy Lane) completed the order of finish. Kis My Bit was scratched.
