iss A Lou Blue, a homebred daughter of 2002
Champion Aged Stallion Jess Louisiana Blue racing for Five Livestock Company LLC, led at every call en route to a 3/4-length victory in the $22,375 Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity at the Jerome County Fair on June 19.
Aided by a reported 20-mph tail wind, Kiss A Lou Blue went 350 yards in :17.737 while earning a career-best 97 speed index. Oscar Villa rode the chestnut filly for trainer Ramiro Fregoso.
Kiss A Lou Blue was the 3rd-fastest qualifier with a neck victory the Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity trials on June 5.
The filly was bred in Idaho, and is out of Kiss
A Kardashian, a winning 7-year-old daughter of the FDD Dynasty stallion Jr Dynasty Mountain. She is a half-sister to winner Coronado Kiss, who ran second in the South Valley Futurity and was third in the Bitterroot Futurity-RG3 and Corona Chick Handicap. Kiss A Lou Blue is her first winner from two starters.
Kiss A Lou Blue’s second dam, the winning mare Sixteen Kisses, ran 3rd in the 2012 Hawthorne Futurity at Sandy Downs.
Kiss A Lou Blue made her debut with a second-place run in a 300-yard $5,200 maiden- special-weight dash for Idaho-breds at Pocatello Downs on May 22.
She has won two of her three outs, and the $10,740 winner’s share of the purse from her first stakes victory increased her bankroll to $12,760.
Eh Three Am Icon (Texas Icon-Bizooms Eagle) finished second and earned $4,587 for her owner, Edgar Hibbard. Dallas Erickson rode the bay Utah-bred filly for trainer Wasey Erickson. She has placed in all of her three outs, including her third place finish in her June 5 trial where she qualified with the 6th fastest time.
Fastest qualifier Jackies Famous Girl (One Famous Eagle-This Dash Is Flying) ran third and pocketed $2,238 for her owner, Dorian Montero. Pedro V. Gonzalez rode the Texas-bred filly for trainer Ramiro Fregoso. She has won or placed in four of her five starts.
Ethan (Fast Prize Cartel-Perryczech), First Corona Magic (Mountian Magic-DDS Corona Prospect), Carley Cartel (Carters Cartel-One
Two Dash), and Jessa Lil Lippy (Jess Lips- Quartertimereaction) completed the order of finish. Bonosmemory was scratched.

hicks Dashin Bandit, a homebred son of the
Corona Cartel stallion Coronas Fast Dash and the second-fastest qualifier from the June 5 trials, sprinted to a 1-length victory in the $15,337 Five Livestock Company/Rod Mills Memorial Derby at the Jerome County Fair meet in Idaho on June 19.
Racing for Five Livestock Company LLC and aided by a reported 20-mph tail wind, Chicks Dashin Bandit went wire-to-wire and covered 350 yards in :17.671. Pedro V. Gonzalez rode the Idaho- bred gelding for trainer Ramiro Fregoso.
Chicks Dashin Bandit was coming off of a second-place finish, 1-length behind fastest qualifier Richie Rich 1, in the first of two trials on June 5. The gelding has won four of nine races, and the $7,512 winner’s share of the purse from his second stakes victory pushed his bankroll to $20,560.
Chicks Dashin Bandit is out of First Prize Chicks, who won the 2016 Kip Didericksen Handicap at Los Alamitos. She has produced two winners from three starters, including top earner Chicks First Flash, winner of the 2022 Fred Scane Handicap at Los Alamitos.
His second dam, the unraced mare First Prize Chic, produced Chics Love Curls, a multiple stakes winner in Mexico and a full brother to First Prize Chicks. Chicks Dashin Bandit traces back to his third dam, First Prize Dash, a winning daughter of 2-time World Champion Dash For Cash, an AQHA Dam of Distinction, and the sport’s Broodmare of the Year in 2006.
Im Perky (Seperate Interest-Perky) ran second for owner and trainer Sergio Reyes. Jose Borbonio rode the gray filly. She has won one race from eight starts and finished third in her June 5 trial where she qualifed with the 6th fastest time.
Jess Your Corona (Daguerre-Stoli Your Corona) finished third under Luis Delgado for owner
Efrain Acosta and trainer Cesar Luna. The gelding was a finalist in the Pocatello Downs Spring Championship as well as the Gary & Sharilyn Blattner Memorial earlier this year. Jess Your Corona is also a stakes winner with a win in last year’s Thomas Market Futurity at Oneida County Fair.
Richie Rich 1 (Concorde’s Appeal-Race
To Riches) was fourth and was followed by Looknforharry (Seperate Interest-Eye To Go), Blitz Chick (Stoli-Jeanifer Chick), and Ja Wild Panama (Panama Wes-Wild N Single). Third-fastest qualifier Zoomin For Trix was scratched.

astest qualifier Dance The Dust Off didn’t have
the best break in the final of the $33,847 AQHA Wyoming Downs Distance Challenge on June 25. However, with plenty experience at 870 yards, Dance The Dust Off took charge in the lane under Nakia Teeter and easily crossed the finish line 1 3/4-length in front.
Trained by Clay Teeter, Dance The Dust Off completed the 870 yards in :45.306, while posting
a 97 speed index. He also collected the $17,600 winner’s share of the purse for owner Jewel Ramirez, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $81,500.
Winning seven races from 19 starts, this victory marks his second stakes win - his first being the 2021 Will Rogers Downs Distance Challenge-G3. He was also a finalist in the AQHA Downs at Albuquerque Distance Challenge Championship-G1, Remington Park Distance Challenge-G2 and Lone Star Distance Challenge-G3.
Sarah Donaldson Rioux bred Dance The Dust Off out of multiple winner Magic Yard TB. The mare has produced 100% winners from two starters. Dance The Dust Off is her first stakes winner.
Second fastest qualifier Mahoney N Tacklebery (Favorite Cartel-Fountain Bleu) had the early lead but had to settle for second for owner Ben Peterson. The Riley Moosman trainee had Jesus Valenzuela handling the reins. Sixth fastest qualifier Stolin Train (Desirio-Stoli Girl) ran a gritty and tough
race in the finals to hold on to third place under Francisco Linan for owner Goodrich Quarter Horses and trainer Scott Goodrich.
Grey Handsome (Hez Our Secret-Miss Free House TB), Roc Starr (Rock Solid Jess-Saigon Lady), Brace For Bigtime (Brace For Bernal-Dashin Big Time), Kaul Me Dashetta (Brindis Por Cayenne- Dashin Dashetta) and Obi One Kenobi (Second Painted Sign-Fortune Six Hundred) followed.
