Pitre GMC Distaff
SINSATIONAL TACHA
by John Moorehouse
Being a 12-1 longshot didn’t dissuade Sinsational Tacha from scoring her first-ever stakes victory in her 22nd career out, out-nodding favorite Cat
Daddys Lil Girl to win the $35,000 Pitre GMC Distaff Stakes at Albuquerque Downs on Oct. 26 as part of the undercard on Bank of America Challenge Championship night.
Sinsational Tacha, who is owned by Alejandro Arzabala Jr. was no stranger to stakes company, com- peting in five prior races at that caliber. Most recently, she placed ninth in the Ruidoso Downs Distaff Challenge. She authored a different story this time, breaking from the 5-post and running a close third going into the stretch. Jockey Paul Garcia engineered a driving finish; the mare chased down the two rivals in front of her, getting to the wire first by a nose.
Martin Orona, Sr. trains the mare, who made her 400-yard trip in :19.731 for an 88 speed index.
Bob and Jerry Gaston bred Sinsational Tacha out of winner Miss Sin Tacha, who ran third in the Heritage Place Futurity-G1. She has produced six winners from seven starters. Sinsational Tacha is her second stakes winner.
Cat Daddys Lil Girl (Big Daddy Cartel- Girlonthego), the post-time favorite at even-money odds, finished a close second for owners Jimmy Negrete and Jimmy Vazquez. The Cynthia Gonzalez trainee had Mauro Salcedo in the irons.
Our Lady Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon- Little Kool Barbie), the biggest longshot in the field, placed third. Kent Jackson is the owner, Stacy Charette-Hill is the trainer, and Jorge Torres drew the riding assignment.
Trace Dynasty (FDD Dynasty-Wowzer Won),
C Breeze (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Back In The Pack), and Jess Adalida (Jess Louisiana Blue- Wortherweightingold) completed the order of finish. Fosse and RJ Special Chick both scratched.

by Michael Compton
In the $30,000 Albuquerque Juvenile Stakes
on the Challenge Championship undercard at Albuquerque Downs on Oct. 26, Aggressive Driver
rolled to an impressive score over nine rivals in the 350-yard test.
Ridden by Mauro Salcedo, Aggressive Driver broke alertly and took command of the field away from the starting gate. He dueled early before shaking loose by 1/2-length in the lane. He drove to the wire unchallenged to score by 3/4-length. In recording the initial stakes win of his career and second win in a row, Aggressive Driver stopped the timer in :17.514, earning a s 91 speed index. Mario Fernandez trains the gelding.

John Andreini bred Aggressive Driver out of winner Designateddriver. She has produced 100% money earners from six starters. Aggressive Driver is her first stakes winner.
Runner-up Eyesa Forrest (High Rate Of Return- Eyesa Darlin) chased the winner throughout. The sorrel colt is owned by Tomas Avitia and trained by Emily Cardenas. Eyesa Forrest finished a 1/2-length in front of third-place finisher Pitchforks Panther (Dominyun-Special Lady Panther) and jockey Juan Pulido. The sorrel gelding races for owner Victor Ortiz and is trained by Roberto Treto.
Noreason Fordiamonds (Rances Reason-Cartier N Capris), Kelly Call Me (Jess A Chicks-Corona Kelly), Highest Rate In Town (High Rate Of Return- Hottesticketintown), Wagonfullofdarlings (Wagon Tales-Denim Darling), Como Cartel (Coronado Cartel-Commotion Motion) and VT First Brave Stan (First Prize Stanley-Brava Brava) completed the order of finish. Sandia Stakes
STOLIS PRO
by John Moorehouse
Veteran gelding Stolis Pro took first place in the $30,000 Sandia Stakes at Albuquerque Downs on Oct. 26.
Drawing the No. 5 starting gate, Stolis Pro broke in the middle of the pack and led by 1-length by
the time he reached the first call. J Boy A moved in front of Stolis Pro by a head going into the stretch, but Stolis Pro recaptured the advantage and reached the finish line sporting a 1/2-length margin of separation. Francisco Calderon was in the irons as Stolis Pro charged to his sixth stakes win. Leon Bard trains Stolis Pro, who completed the 870-yard race in :45.209 for an 88 speed index. The gelding brought home a $14,700 payday that pushed his lifetime earnings over the $150,000 milestone to $153,256.
Jerry Windham home-bred Stolis Pro, who has tallied six of his 15 career wins in stakes company. With 37 starts now under his belt, Stolis Pro improved to 2-0 in 2019, with both his outs this year being stakes races. He won the San Marcos Stakes held in September at Retama Park.
Windham bred Stolis Pro out of winner Veva Jean, who was a runner-up in the Barnmaster Sprint Stakes-G3. She has produced 100% money earners from 21 starters, including World Champion and top earner Stolis Winner.
J Boy A (Jess Zoomin-Mighty Classy Lassy) finished in second place for owner/trainer Thomas Gonzales under Francisco Amparan.
