EZEE MONEE

With a moniker that all but pegs for a pun, Ezee Monee, dismissed at odds of 8-1 in the $478,049 Rainbow Oaks-G1, finished strongly to prevail in the 440-yard test on July 15 at Ruidoso Downs. While her victory may not have been easy, the brown filly showed determination in the 1/2-length score under jockey Adrian Ramos.
After breaking eighth and racing in third position through the early stages, Ezee Monee hit her best stride in the lane and drew clear late to score in :21.361 to notch the initial stakes success of her career. The final clocking earned a speed index of 92.

by Jaime Aldavaz Sr., Ezee Monee is now a winner in five of 11 career starts, and the $200,781 winner’s share of the purse increased her bankroll to $295,855.
She finished fourth in the Ruidoso Derby-G1 against the boys two starts back before capturing her Rainbow Oaks trial heat
