We ask that families do not send in special
food unless required by a special diet due
to allergies or other medical condition. In
this case, we require a physician’s written Important Things T
instructions. Any approved lunches
brought from home need to be labeled
with the child’s name and be refrigerated
or be stored in a proper lunch box
container to keep meals at appropriate
serving temperature. Milk, fresh fruits and
vegetables are also available for children
who bring their lunch from home.
Due to increased allergies in young children, we do not include nuts of any kind, including
peanuts, peanut butter and peanut oil in our menus. We ask that our families do not bring
any type of nut products to school.
Birthdays and Celebrations
We encourage families to participate in birthdays and holidays with your child at our
school. If you would like to bring refreshments for your child’s class, please discuss the
date and time you would like to celebrate with the Center Director . Unfortunately, we are o Know ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆ ◆
unable to permit any homemade snacks.
Rest and Nap Time
Our daily schedule provides a rest/nap time in a crib or cot everyday. This time is required
by state licensing. Cots, cot sheets, cribs and crib sheets are provided by the school. If you
are bringing a small blanket from home, please label the blanket with your child’s full
name. After one hour of rest time, children are allowed to participate in quiet activities
while still respecting the quiet time so others can nap. Blankets or any other items are not
allowed in our infant classrooms due to safe sleep (SIDS) guidelines.
