Rules Governing Lakewood Country Club
6. Chewing gum and adhesive will not be allowed in the pool.
7. All waste materials, such as candy wrappers, paper cups, etc., should be deposited
in the waste containers placed for your convenience.
8. Lounges are for adult use, please.
9. Swimming is permitted only when a lifeguard is on duty.
10. Persons clothed in swimming attire may not enter the Clubhouse, except adults
going to and from the adult locker rooms. A shirt or other swimsuit cover-up is
required of both men and women when going to and from the Clubhouse locker
rooms and the pool. Swim attire is not permitted in the dining, bar or lounge areas at
any time. The intent of this rule is to facilitate the use of the adult locker rooms.
11. Under no circumstances will dogs or pets be permitted in the pool area.
12. Eating and drinking will be confined to designated areas only.
13. Tubes and floating devices will only be permitted at the shallow end of the pool
at the discretion of the Aquatics Director or duly authorized representative.
14. Pool equipment must stay in pool area and must be signed out by a Member who
will be responsible for equipment return.
15. The small pool is reserved for children who cannot use the large pool. Swim
diapers (only) are allowed in either of the pools.
16. CROSS-POOL SWIMMING IN THE DIVING AREA IS VERY DANGEROUS AND
WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
17. Lockers will not be reserved and must only be locked while the bathers are at the
pool. All valuables should be locked in a locker. The Club is not responsible for
valuables brought on premises.
18. Do not disturb guards while they are on duty. When they are engaged in
conversation, they cannot devote their entire attention to the swimmers.
19. Parents are requested to caution their children and guests to observe all rules and
obey instructions of the Aquatics Director and the guards. Any failure to comply with
these rules shall be considered sufficient cause for immediate suspension of pool
privileges for the offending individual for a period of one to seven days.
20. Whenever an element of safety is involved, the Aquatics Director, under the
supervision of the General Manager, has full authority to govern the conduct and
activities of persons in the pool area.
21. Squirt guns are not allowed in the pool or pool area.
22. Cotton sweatpants are allowed in this area.
23. Management has been instructed by the Board of Directors to refuse service to
any person inappropriately attired.
24. Members are responsible for the proper attire of their family and guests.
25. Entrance into the pool area before pool hours, for the purpose of reserving tables,
lounge chairs, sunbathing space and the like, will not be permitted.
