150 years ago, we opened our first branch. There were no debit cards or mobile apps. Heck, there
wasn’t even electricity. All we had were our bankers, their pens and a promise. A promise that we’d help
build the community. A promise to communicate honestly with our customers. And a promise to do the
right thing. Keeping this promise has led to some extraordinary things over the last century and a half,
but none greater than the privilege of helping transform the lives of people right in our own backyard.
