        Working Efficiently

        On-the-Fly

ell, you make changes on the fly

Wand your results can end up two
feet too narrow. The tale of the mixer

rebuild and the purchase of a conveyor

        to fill the already-purchased potting
        machine is a complicated one.

It would have worked out better if all

the pieces had been here before we
put them in place. Added to that,

we realized that we could use the

conveyor to fill the potting wagons
or fill the tractor bucket to take to the

potting machine, when it was in the
greenhouse for the winter. But there

wasn’t enough space to drive the
potting wagon past the conveyor and

the electric supply pole. A minimum of
2 feet, but I’ll make it 3 feet, as we have

to pay for it, and just in case. Larry
rebuilt one of the potting wagons using

Lexan for the deck and sides. It really

looks neat, let’s hope it lasts well. At
        least it won’t rot.
