Economic transformation
The sentiments most expressed during this consultation can be classified into five clusters, sentiments on (a) economic
transformation issues, (b) programming issues related to economic transformation, (c) constraints to private sector development and (d)
importance of infrastructure in economic transformation. From Figure 2 below, sentiments among Gambians consulted during the CCA
consultation and measured by the words most expressed, seem to reflect that project management, infrastructure, development assistance
and issues around private sector development in general and build-operate-transfer arrangements are important issues in the narrative
on economic transformation in the country.
