A Mini-Health Fair was held on November 22, 2019. Representatives from the North Central
Sickle Cell Initiatives and the Aliveness Project shared information with participants. The
participants, also, received information regarding hypertension, nutrition, diabetes and the benefits
of exercise and Alzheimer’s disease. A large amount of health education materials was, also, shared
with the attendees.

Sorors with second careers in Beta Mu Chapter share activities and goals of their new careers at monthly Sorority
meetings and at public functions when requested. All began employment at the elementary or secondary levels and
many ascended to greater responsibilities in later years. Many volunteer in schools to assist as intervention specialist,
hospitals as greeters, and foodbank helpers. One soror is currently pursuing a doctorate degree.
