80th Midwest Regional Conference

November 25, 2019: The KUDOS donated food items for one large Thanksgiving basket. One turkey was
purchased by Dr. Ball. We prepared one Thanksgiving basket for one needy family of Gary Community School
Corporation. The family thanked us for the basket.

18 XINOS.1 Advisor. 6 KUDOS, 5 Parents and 2 family members participated in this activity.

• Every Second Saturday of the month, the XINOS, KUDOS, Parents and Advisors volunteer with the Food
Pantry at Van Buren Baptist church to assemble and distribute food to persons in the community. The
service at Van Buren Baptist Church is an ongoing monthly activity through May 2020.

2 Advisors. 4 parents. 12 XINOS, 4 KUDOS and 100+ citizens attended.

• December 17, 2019: The KUDOS and XINOS volunteered at Williams Elementary School for the schools
"Christmas Party." The KUDOS and XINOSprovided gifts for students, played games, and read stories to
the students.

Educational Activities

• February 5, 2020: The Gary Chapter of the UNCF in conjunction with the Mayor's Office, hosted a Mayors
Scholarship Breakfast. This is an annual scholarship breakfast which selected students of Northwest

Indiana receive college scholarships from the NWI UNCFChapter. The Xinos and the Kudos participated
as host and hostess for the scholarship breakfast.

• October 29, 2019: The XINOS and KUDOSparticipated in "Literacy Night" at Williams Elementary School
in Gary, IN. The XINOSand KUDOS read books to small groups and gave students book markers for their
participation.

• November 2, 2019: Three XINOS and one KUDOS participated in the Beta Mu Chapter of The National
Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.34th Annual Teach-A-Rama Awards Luncheon.
